I'm getting a lift for my shop!!!!!
#46
just performed my first task!!!!
I decided to throw her up on the lift and fix my driverside wastegate. over 6 months ago when I was installing my wastegate relocation/dump kit, I managed to crosss thread a bolt into one of the wastgate housing and I cranked the head of the bolt clean off!!! so basically, I have been driving around with one bolt holding my dump pipe onto the wastegate.
I unbolted the dump pipe, disconnected the -4AN vacuum lines, and then removed the wastegate. next, I put the wastegate in the drill press and drilled out the old bolt. then, I retapped the hole for an M8x1.25 thread......
and then reinstalled it all!
It was so easy doing this up in the air. No more searching for wrenches while on my back, no more creeper. I love my new toy!!!!!
