I love Optimas. It should be the last battery you ever buy. They are expensive though.

To be honest, I had an AC Delco battery in my '01 Accord and after pulling the battery out and swapping it for something with more CCA since I had a lot of current draw (audio setup), I let the battery sit for about 9 months and before hooking it up, it still read 12.6V with my Fluke DMM.

If you want a good battery, there are MANY to choose from. The one's I've dealt with are Optima, Kinetik, and Odyssey.

The Kinetik is more for when your vehicle is off and used primarily for audio setups (SPL since the vehicle must be off). The Optimas are pretty good, I know several people having problems with them, not a common case).

My personal opinion is Odyssey, they make probably some of the best daily batteries. I had the PC 1200 and it was more than sufficient. Left my lights on overnight, car started with ease. Jump started a car with my car off too, no problem. I also had two of the PC 2150's, I believe those are used in the military for their HumVee's.

They are made by Enersys, which makes the Odyssey, Hawker, and Stinger batteries. Don't pay extra money for the Stinger, because it's just a stupid sticker. All three are the same batteries, just different stickers and slightly different model numbers. Stinger, would be the more expensive one, just stick with the Odyssey and Hawker if you can find it for cheaper. The PC1200 is more than enough for a regular battery and can be used with an audio setup. With an RF T30001bd (benches around 3,500w RMS) and playing the amp at full tilt before clipping, with the car off, voltage drop was 11.8V. That's quite a bunch of a current draw, especially with the car being off, so that tiny battery is definitely worth it.

There are many other ones like Northstar, great batteries. There's a few others that I can't quite think of other than Powermaster, but you really don't need anything crazy.

Well the problem with Nissans is that they have a small .2 amp draw all the time. So the smaller "lightweight" batteries are never going to last unless you drive the car all the time OR have an electrical cutoff switch to kill the power when you turn the car off.

I like the Optima SC35a seen here.

http://www.batteriesareus.com/index....products_id=61

Its lightweight at 30 pounds or so and will work like a charm. Plus you can mount it sideways, upside down, in the trunk, ect and never have and issue.

No prob, they are a bit on the more expensive side...I wish I still had mine but when I got in an accident, the battery post got yanked and cracked it out of place

Once I do my audio install for the G I'm getting it again.

I've always gotten the Die Hard batteries from Sears, never gave me any probs.
I messed around years ago with the autozone and pepboys' batteries and found they really suck.
Little fvckers always died on me.

I would not get an Optima. I ordered one a few years ago and it was dead right out of the box.

Have you talked to the dealership? If you have an 05 they may still warranty it for you. Mine was outside warranty but the dealership still hooked me up at no-charge, not even a prorated amount.
