Pittsburgh road trip pictures
For those that followed my updates in the May discussion thread...and for those who don't care, here are some of the 419 pictures I took.
Story goes: My friend, Chris, calls me Sunday night asking me if I want to go on a road trip to Pittsburgh. I say "Of course! I'll bring my camera." So we left at 6:30pm Tuesday evening. Chris is good friends with Ian Snell, a pitcher for the Pittsburg Pirates who lives in FL during the offseason. He had some work done to his Mitsubishi Evolution X MR and wanted it up in Pittsburgh. So we took a road trip to deliver it to him. We arrived in Pittsburgh around 1:30pm...39 limp modes later. We met up with a good friend of mine from hgih school. She showed us around town and then we all went to the game and out to a bar afterwards. I flew out the next morning and was back in Orlando at 1pm.
This is where we were pulled over" by the ******** West Virginia Police. It was roughly 5:30am and we were taking pictures on the side of the road. He threatened to "call the wrecker". Really?!

A random stop around 6:30am...we could have pulled over every 10 minutes to take pictures. It's so beautiful out there.

Another pit stop. I think this was around 2550ft elevation.

Just down the road, I tried out some panning shots.

Then the OEM navigation ended up taking us off the main interstates and on some back country roads. We were glad because we had the chance to take some nice twisties...but this also led to the navigation ending us at a police station???

Hell yes!

There were quite a few rundown buildings that were halfway burnt down...including this gas station.

My attempt at Dali.

More twisties!

A scenic lookout in West Virginia.

Sitting 12th row at the Pittsburgh Pirates game...almost directly behind home plate!

This guy belongs at Disney.

Free fresh hot dogs!

The famous Pierogi race.

A beautiful backdrop of downtown Pittsburgh.

The Evo finally at home.

I want!!!

Nice pictures, Ryan...
Good job on all the ball park shots ... they were super...
So, what's the deal with all the limp modes? I assume the Evo's ECU pulls in a second set of timing when it thinks something is wrong... too much timing? detonation?

Those pictures are gorgeous. Looks like you had a nice drive.
My father's side of the family is from WV and I remember the twisty roads and cliff edges as a child. Unfortunately, it was more negative than positive with car sickness and all.
