Firestone Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Sooooooooooooooo I just bought the stillen rear camber arms and toe arms for a crazy price i could not turn down ( Local freind was in a bind and needed cash) !!

But here is the bad !!!! So I have lifetime alignment at firestone and just put brand new tires on. Always use Junior to do my alignments at firestone off of colonial near boardwalk bowl. He is amazing but was not there this morning So I asked one of the techs if he could do my alignment and said sure.

well the results are devistating! First off he was trying to align my car to 2003 g35 Sedan with 16" tires?????(I noticed the print out as I was driving pissed !!!) Now why the heck he did that I have no idea? Also I have 19" wheels on a coupe so I would actualy need 2006 G35 Coupe Specs W/ sport tuned. Now the guy says I am lowered so he can put me in spec lol Dude this is a freakin $700 camber kit and you cant get me in spec??? any way I left with these results in the rear

Rear Left Camber -4.0 toe 0.02 Rear Right Camber -2.8 toe .015

My Car looks like this / |

So I am going to try junior in the morning but if he cant get do you guys know anyone who can get my car in spec????

That sucks. That's why I only let 1 person do my alignments because he used to be a tech at Orlando Infiniti.

I actually just lowered my car so I will be taking it in for an alignment soon and I'll let you know how it goes.

I highly doubt your rear camber arms are maxed out and you're still at -4.0. Bogus alignment! Go somewhere else.

thats why you dont let people who dont know these cars touch them. sucks but at least you learned it without anything really bad happening. the other tech should be able to straighten things out if he knows what hes doing. good luck.

Man i dont know what is it with you guys and firestone or goodyear or whatever for alignments. They are used to doing plain Monster truck height cars that are simple to do.

Take it to a place that specializes in alignments and tires.

I would say for Tampa people either S&R or Advanced performance

stillen rear camber kit being worth $700? Even the fronts arent that expensive and theyre the ones that cost more. Did it come with toe bolts?

One of the vendors sells the rear cambers for about 330. Stillen camber and toe arms are highly overpriced IMO. Battle Version >>> Stillen and it's cheaper as well.

Also, to the other person, OP may not be maxed out with his camber, but that is about the most camber you can run without toe arms, but it would require toe bolts.

OP, sorry to hear about your situation, that should not happen at all. I can understand the camber being off by a couple tenths of a degree as long as the toe is in spec, but not that much. The toe can be in better spec as well. At least you don't have to pay again for the alignment, I'd get pissed if I had to.

The stillen camber and toe system are weird and overly complicated. The SPC system is simple and more foolproof. The way the Stillen toe arms work is not correct.
