A really long intake tube like that, REALLY amplifies the VQ note a LOT more than a short-ram.

Yep. I had that same intake on my G35. Sounded nice, looks cool but not really any power. Dont worry about hydrolock. I dont know anyone that knows anyone that it has actually happened to. I had it on for years with no problem.
Let off that gas when going through puddles. CAI is no bueno imo. Get a bypass

Take it from someone who has popped a motor from a CAI and a mysteriously deep puddle lol Save yourself a few grand and buy the bypass.
