I just killed a small cottonmouth on the back porch with a glove and pocket knife.

Oh, and I don't give a flying (insert expletive here) about what people would say... they can have an opinion when they are the ones with a potentially deadly snake within inches of their back door.

Lucky you I killed a snake by my house last week and tried to just identify it so I know if its dangerous or not and got shredded apart By PythonJosh and one other

Self riteous bastards tried to make it seem like I was weak just because im trying to defend my house. I got kids that live here and rarely have snakes anywhere So instead of me just pray itll stay put and call animal control. So I killed it.

I identified this one before I killed it.
Although one time in the past I killed a black racer mistaking it for a moccasin. I felt bad about it but still, better safe than in a hospital getting a hand or foot amputated.

If I identify a snake as non venomous, I'll either leave it be (King Snake that hangs out close to the house) or relocate it (Oak Snake in my grandmother's garden)

But I have no qualms about killing a venomous snake, especially if it's close to me or my family. And that goes doubly for moccasins... there are just sooooo soooooooo many of those around here, it's certainly not hurting the population.

I know Josh, and I doubt he would go off on me too much.... but if he did, I have no trouble telling him a piece of my mind

 

I can freeze it and ship it to you on dry-ice ....but I don't think there's even enough meet on it to get stuck in your teeth
