all sounds good Todd....the trophies may be unneeded costs but if everyone likes the idea then maybe its feasible

Shirts i think are a must...i would assume we could get the cost down to under $15/shirt....if we get sponsers to donate items then a raffle could be a good way to get a nice chunk of money into the club for future events otherwise that may be a no-go too

i think the best approach for money needed is to require a pre-paid club fee...therefore "no-shows" or people that decide they dont want to be in the group but justed wanted to be at the meet wont cost anyone extra money. First, we should get a cost of shirts, stickers, or anything else we want to give members as they join then from that we can have someone setup a paypal and anyone wishing to join the club can do so and they will get the items at the meet.

 

Sounds great but I'm getting my hair cut on the 5th of March so I can't make it.

Hey Wes we already have 2 types of stickers for the site do we need another for the club? Pretty much anyone with one of the 2 for the site would be a member of the FL club right?

I'll have to suffer through a years worth of floggings from the boss to get a Saturday off but ya know what F' em, I'll be there ! I'm sick of missing out on all the reindeer games (no pun intended neff, sorry to hear about it).

On a side note.....
If we can come up with a group name, I'm sure I can get a special decal made without too much of a cost issue for this meet/members. It would have to be based on my existing artwork that used to show up in my sig to keep the cost down but we could change the region name and the coloring ?

there is a guy here in boca raton,sfl he can make us front banner and 2 sides decals for 15 bucks all we have to do is give the design his work is high quality and last for years.. i am sure if we buy 80 +++ prob not sure but 10 bucks all depends to amount of color? pm me for any more info on that

 

I'm all for the T-shirts but not a big fan of the trophies.
I haven't been to Lokey but it sounds like it would be a great place to meet.
If we can get this thing big enough I have some hook-ups with clear channel and MAY be able to get something worked out with a radio station in the area to come out.
Another idea which I'm a big advocate for is turning this into a charity event. If were going to have sponsorship we're more likely to have sponsors help out if we are doing this for a cause and not for ourselves.A cause that I support is cancer research. I think almost all of us have been effected in one way or another.

stickers or anything for that matter is not required...but i know it was mentioned and a new design separating from g35driver.com which is soon to require its own membership fee may be better unless our club will be affiliated with g35driver

As far as T-shirts, I'm cool with that. As far as stickers I thought the G35driver.com stickers that Russ already has would be good enough for the first meet. As far as trophies, there are 3 or 4 categories (might cost ~$100 or so) that would be too good to pass up...

Sponsorship would be nice, but that might take a lot of work. If anyone wants to volunteer their time to make it happen, GREAT! Initially I was thinking that everyone just paypal ~$15 to reserve a T-SHIRT and a couple of stickers and the extra couple of bucks left over could go to the trophies. Hopefully more people will give input and MAYBE Lokey Infiniti would be able to offer up something like a free car wash or two and/or a free oil change or two (or something along those lines) to raffle off. This way we could have a meet that included; a raffle, lunch, a t-shirt, a couple of stickers, good conversation, a few trophies and a couple of small prizes, PLUS we'd have the opportunity to meet quite a few G owners from across the state of Florida.

I'm thinking that we should make it a 1-day event and it would take place on a SATURDAY. Friday is a work day for the normal 9-5 crowd and Sunday should be reserved for those who celebrate their religious beliefs. So we've narrowed it down to a Saturday in March and I'm still open for ideas from the Miami crowd about the location and types of activities we could offer.

BIG REQUEST. Please update your profiles to include the city you live in. I am not really familiar with many of the people who live in SFL and am not sure if you're chiming in as of yet...

Everything sounds copasetic to me. Miami doesn't seem to exist on this forum, you may want to try my350z.com and post in the G35 thread, I see the occasional two people from Miami there?

Is there a park near Lokey Infiniti? I like the Clearwater idea, I also like Melbourne as a central place, there are plenty of places to meet there.

I will narrow it down to "10:30am Saturday March 5th" because I"m number 4!!!! yah!!!!! and I can do that!!!!

 

i know roughly about 50 "G" drivers who would be down in south florida, on top of that we are having a "g" and "z" meet sunday in sfl and i will bring up this thread and the subject of a florida group.

by the way the infiniti in sfl
give you a free car wash anytime u want, u dont have to buy anything or be in for service. they also give u free coffe and they have a cafe its all free lattee's cookies the works.. does lookey infiniti do the same ???

 

ohh yeah well Orlando infiniti has an expresso machine!!

 

I now have the stickers in Ivory Pearl, Laser Red, Diamond Graphite, Brilliant Silver, and Carribean Blue. The BS also match the stock wheels to go on a black or twilight.

Todd - I changed my haircut appointment so I can make it now.

Which Infiniti in S. Fla are you talking about? CC? No way in hell am I getting my car washed at the dealer, I prefer to do that myself cause they'll get sued if I see a single swirl mark.

I wish the meet could be a little later as I doubt I'll be getting a G as soon as March But if anything I'll get a G rental and I'll be there.

 

I would be down for a meet sometime soon too. I'm from the Clearwater area but go to school in Gainesville. Just have to wait and see what the possible dates are though.
