That's exactly why I stopped doing web design. You see that comic as being funny and absurd, I see it as an almost word for word biography of my life before I changed jobs.
People were forever more taking a fantastic design and crapping all over it with their own stupid ideas.
It's like handing out sharpies at the entrance to the Louvre and saying "if you see something you don't like, just change it"

I actually had to tell someone at one point "if you want other people to think your site looks nice, your going to have to let me do my job and quit making changes"
