Question First Road Trip in new G

I am heading out for a 2000 mile round trip, road trip shortly. I have 1300 miles on the car now, and wonder if I should change the oil before I leave, or after I return. Any suggestions?

Before you leave, and probably when you get back. Get a radar detector, keep it under 100 and have fun!!

Agreed..... If you need it done soon, you can drop by Lokey on Saturday to do it. Open at 8AM and can take you up until about 1:30PM. If you go tomorrow(2-19), my service consultant Greg will be there. Make sure you tell him I sent you, and he'll help you out(we usually operate by appointment- my name will get you by that ).

Have fun on your trip.

Done!

Got the oil changed today at Lokey in like super fast time! I barely had time for a muffin and coffee in the lounge. Oh wait, it was so fast I didn't have coffee....but did meet John while I was there. A good guy who has his hands full with all these G's coming his way on the 5th. I wish him and Lokey luck on that issue!

On a side note: I will be installing a Blinder M20 Laser Jammer system just before heading out on the road trip. Should be fun to install and fun to see how this sucker works. It gets great reviews by most of the trades and testers out there. Gotta keep the Man off our backs when we lose track of our MPH!

Anyone using one of these?

no but im saving up for one. Going to mount it in the front grill area. I would suggest a radar detector too, you won't be getting hit with laser to often.

* Didnt know you had a radar already, ,heh, anyways let us know how it works. *

made it to our 1st destination

made it to our first stop. maryland. three states of rain from florida to north carolina.....continuous rainfall...couldn't make too much time on the road with it. kept it under 90mph. then we hit dry road and finally could do triple digits....this car loves to run fast! and does it effortlessly...made the ride up a piece of cake. but man does virginia and maryland have a whole lot of radar. i installed the Blinder M20 Laser Jammer and I have a BEL 985 radar unit, and thank God for them. saved me numerous times in the drive through those states. didn't hit any laser, so i can't say how the Blinder unit works yet, but i feel better knowing it is there. cops every freaking mile it seemed. it is snowing like crazy and i can here the car weeping outside. it is normally garaged. i'll post a photo or two if i remember and show you that these cars even look great covered in snow. lookng forard to the next stop. Atlantic City and the casinos....hopefully the snow doesn't get too deep and the roads aren't too slippery, don't want to put the G into any dangerous scenarios out there. the Michelins aren't liking the slippery roads......
