Just an FYI... Neffster's no longer a moderator!
Guys and girls...
I've had my turn at being a moderator and fortunately the other admins have allowed me to give up my moderator status at my request. I'm not going to go into any long reason why I requested for my moderator privileges to be removed, but I have formally requested that dabomb be made the moderator of the FGC Forum and for Kyle to give him a shot moderating for a while. No word has been given as to what Kyle's intentions are, however I'm just happy that this "burden" has been lifted off of my shoulders.
The most important thing is for everyone to realize that Kyle still supports the FGC and I can now be free to post however I like and not be accused of being anything other than a passionate g35 owner.
Hopefully dabomb will be instated as a moderator soon (at least this is what I've requested) so that we can still control the sticky threads, edit posts, etc...
Again, I 100% requested for my moderator privileges to be removed and I can guarantee you that I will not accept that role again anytime soon. It definitely is NOT all it's cracked up to be.
Thanks for reading.

As for me being moderator?? This is the first I heard about it but, I would take the job just for the ability to make stickies and locked threads and what not in our FGC forum. Oh and I may read a few deleted posts here and there
Actually the issue of what happened in the past with FL350GT and DiAmOnDgCoUpE (or how ever the heck he's spelling his screen name now
) was what initially got me thinking about resending the moderator privileges.
What I found out was that there is no support from the G35driver admin’s (Colin aside) whenever a new moderator gets himself in a pinch.
I did not receive any of the following:
Also, PM should stand for PUBLIC Message, not Private. Admin’s have the ability to read all PM's. I'm not saying that they take the time to do it, but if you fly across their radar screen, you will quickly realize that something’s aria. If you want to say something in private, it's best to be handled via the telephone or on another electronic medium.
The thing that sucks now is there is NO ONE to do the "Join Requests" for the FGC Private Forum. Also, they quickly bumped me down to a 50 PM limit because I did not pay for the G35Driver Premier Membership and I won't until they remove the Jerry Springer meets **** Fest General Members threads in the "Anything Goes Forum" for Premier Members. (Funny thing is that w/o the General Member Title, I will never know if they delete the “Anything Goes Forum” so I guess I’ll never be a Premier Member
).
Don't worry; I'm not going to let my frustrations interfere with the club's operation. Kyle has been and still is really good to the FGC. In fact, I don’t even think Kyle was the one who rescinded my Moderator status after repeated requests and AIM’s asking him to do this. My bet is that Geobau stepped in (finally). Thanks whoever it was. [/insert big sigh of relief here]
PLEASE, appoint dabomb or demonteverde321 as a moderator (dabomb preferrably) so that we can still function as a club here on driver. TIA!

I did not receive any of the following:
1. Information on what actually is allowed and what isn't allowed in a post. (Besides the eight rules at the top of every page that are "selectively" moderated, IMO).
2. Backing or guidance from admin’s when I took a stand on the forum policies.
3. Absolutely no "thanks" from forum admins for trying to help make this forum a better place.
4. A moderator indoctrination or welcome of sorts.
No guidance, no help, no mentoring, nothing other than a bold blue screen name, a free premier membership and a bunch of added responsibility without the proper guidance. Basically you're left to figure it out all on your own. When you stumble there is no one to pick you up and help dust you off, rather others sit back and watch you fall in an almost sadistic manner.2. I initially asked Kyle (GodZilla) to "sponsor" the Florida G35 Club around the Christmas 2004 timeframe. I initially contacted Kyle via a series of PM's and left my phone number. He then called me and we spoke for awhile. Basically I cut right to the chase (that being my nature) and I asked him to sponsor us. I asked if he would be willing to donate a gift certificate for a free double-din or a gift certificate toward the purchase of items from Strictly Z (a store Kyle used to own) or other types of sponsorship items that we could offer in the March 2005 Lokey Infiniti Raffle.
Initially he said he could give us a FGC Forum (which I wanted but in due time) but I was hesitant to have the forum made for us "too soon" because we were still a very small club and we were getting a lot of GOOD EXPOSURE in the SE Forum at the time. I feared that if we had our own smaller sub-forum that our membership would come to a drastic halt and the club would never reach the potential I thought it had (and we've far surpassed my initial expectations
).After a few days Kyle called me back and basically he had made this forum for us. He told me about sponsorship banners, private forums, calendars, event photo sections, etc... He also decided to make me a moderator of this forum (something I never asked for) and in doing so, he made me the moderator of the SE Forum so that I could move posts back and forth to the appropriate forums.
This was Kyle's way of "sponsoring" our club. It was a HUGE ERROR on my part to not have G35driver.com put on our club t-shirts and the club banner.
If we were to pay to have a website like this made for us, it would cost a lot of money. Plus we would not have the ability to attract anywhere as many people as G35driver.com does.
Bottom line... Kyle (and G35driver) is one of this clubs LARGEST SPONSORS. Don't think for one minute that I'm not completely grateful for this generous gift that Kyle's given us. It really means a lot to me and the Florida G35 Club to have such a selfless person willing to help us at the drop of a hat.
"Thanks Kyle for everything!"

Also, on a side note... One of the main reasons why I asked for my Moderator Privileges to be removed was because I really wasn't very good at being a moderator. Besides the fact that I simply spend too much of my own free time on this website, I got to the point where I began realizing on my own that I was not effectively moderating as I should have been. When I decided to stop being a moderator it was 100% my own decision. No admin or other moderator ever contacted me telling me that I did anything wrong, nor did anyone ever give me any feedback as to whether I needed to improve upon anything. I just began realizing that the moderator gig just might not be for me.
I will miss being able to edit you guys/girls posts and pick on you from a moderator stand point, but I think I made the right decision.
Hopefully Kyle will not feel upset by the fact that I stepped down from this position and will not think that WE are not grateful for all he's done for us. The simple fact that the FGC presently has 96 members is largely due to Kyle’s contributions to our club!
Thanks for reading...
