Thumbs up Nismo Parts in Central Florida

Since we can't get our Nismo stuff via Lokey, I have been hunting around for a local source for the last three weeks. Margins on this stuff must be really tight because almost no one wants to come off of MSRP.

Luckily, I made contact with Kris Williams of Reed Motors parts department (Nissan Dealership). Today, I went down there during lunch and met Kris. He specializes in Nismo parts and they are willing to give very decent discounts off of MSRP. The parts department has all the Nismo stuff on display including the headers and CAI, just in case you want to look before you buy. They even stock some of the basics.

The prices are even better than the internet sales sites we are use to. The second plus side is that if you can pick it up, there is no shipping. As an example, I ordered my Nismo headers for $120.00 less than MSRP with no added shipping cost.

They can also get some JDM Nismo stuff. Even has a nice Nismo JDM catalog you can look through. (The pictures are great, I just need to learn the language.)

Here is Kris's contact information if your interested:

Thanks for the info. I wonder how much the Nismo floor mats cost? My drivers side floor mat is trashed.

Tony,

If you head to Lokey for a header install I need to go with you to get my head unit replaced. The left front speakers keep cutting out and I really need to get this fixed.

Jet Coating is very expensive. I looked into it for my headers it was around $225-$250. I thought you ordered new headers from the Nismo contact above? I wouldn't suggest getting it done. You can hardly see the headers.

Yes, I did order them from Kris at Reed. Should be here on Monday or Tuesday. My350Z has a group by going on for around $175 with the 2000 coating from Jet-Hot. I am thinking that I am going to do it. Should help preserve the life of the headers and also help reduce underhood temps.

Been to that dealership in the past and saw the nismo headers, intake, springs, etc. that they had on display. Next time i'm on that side of town i'll definately browse through their JDM catalog they have (don't worry, I can read the Japanese Kanji...well at least Todd & Wes seem to think so )

I have a place in Orlando that coated my headers for $150.

Classic Nissan was around $1900 when I checked with them. They too have the headers hanging in a display case along with several other Nismo parts. Might want to do a little cross-shopping.

Classic and the other surrounding Nissan dealers did not want to come off of MSRP hardly at all. I have been doing some serious shopping the last three weeks. That is why I ended up with Kris at Reed.

Actually, yeah. Most of the posts I have read and past experience has shown that header tape actually contributes to early failure of the header. It may work for some heat containment but, it will not prolong the life.
