Caravan to SFL Saturday June 11

I noticed that Sean just started the thread for Friday night. So how about Saturday morning? Who would be interested in meeting up at...lets say 6:00am? Waterford Lakes area? It would be great if any Tampa area guys or anywhere within the vicinity of Orlando would like to meet up. Even the guys from the north could meet up with us.

I'm not sure which of the 2 caravan's I'll join in... Ideally I'd get a hotel for 2 nights, but I've got a lot of things to work out.

1- the kitchen install
2- the weekend baby sitter
3- the hotel price (and baby sitter price)

Odds are I'll be meeting up w/ you at 6am, but I'm not sure yet...

Fixed to say Saturday (not Friday) June 11th. Cut the guy some slack, he's worried about what we've done concerning his sweet heart.

My sweet heart (sigh) I mean, I am sorry for confusing everyone. It has been a long week at work... Thanks for fixing it, Todd.

I'm trying hard to get off from work early Friday but highly impossible, looks like I'll be getting up @ 6am Saturday morning for the road trip. Anyone else?

I'm in that boat too, Chris. I'm planning on doing the 6AM thing as well. Drop me a line if you want to roll down there together.

I don't really think anyone from the North will be coming threw the Tampa area, its much quicker to take the turnpike or I-95. You guys might want to meet up in Brandon area just south of the Skyway where Tampa and St. Pete I-75 meet that way you all don't have to go threw St. Pete and they don't have to go outta the way. You could also meet up with the people in the Sarasota, Ft. Myers, Naples areas as well on the way down.

Not sure who this was directed at, but C-Keith and I are in the same neck of the woods.

I figure that anyone in Tampa or Clearwater could maybe get together. Or we could meet south of the Bay Area somewhere, like the Cracker Barrel at the S.R. 64 exit

Too bad we're not taking the same route, Adam...

Does our buddy want to visit the Tampa Cracker Barrel again?

I might actually ride down with you guys then. I am coming back to Clearwater on June 3rd. The only reason why I planned to come back to Orland was to caravan down to the meet with everyone. But if no one is meeting up in Orlando, I might as well stay in Clearwater and ride with you guys.

Obvioulsy this is a great way to add some cash to the kitty for future events !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! I might have something to donate but I would sure like the club to come up with some things.... Man I wont even be there what the heck am I doing

Raffles are a major deal to put together and getting the items donated is anything other than simple. First you have to do a lot of calling around and obtaining free stuff. (That's the hard part). Then you have to offer the sponsors something in return for their donation...

Once you are fortunate to find several sponsors you usually don't want to bug them EVERY 3 MONTHS when you have a big meet. I figure once a year will be pushing it from a club stand point. You do realize that we had over $3K donated just 3 months ago, right? The present plan is to have a raffle once every year (right after the next membership dues are due) to keep club membership levels high.

If any of our sponsors would like to make an unsolicited donation to the club, please contact me offline and I'll be more than happy to set up a raffle of sorts for the SFL meet. I've got plenty of raffle tickets left over and the dollar store sells the perfect size boxes for a raffle.
