I've posted this before in other forums and never gotten any sort of feedback, but... If you shift into 5th gear and let out of the clutch with the car ABOVE 3000 rpm's I believe you're gonna notice a slight "grinding" sound. If you short shift from 2nd or 3rd to 5th, just ride the clutch for another second or two until the rpm's fall down to 3000 and then let out on the clutch. This will stop the grinding noise (which is probably just syncros and not actually gears) that you hear. I don't know why this is the case but it is.

get the titlon clutch and flywheel

the jwt clutch and flywheel are also very good

not sure on how much you are looking for when you go fi but if you go more that 500 the jwt will not hold up and you will have to replace it again

This isn't entirely so. If you go with the clutch JWT sells with their g35-350z kit then it is only good up to 500lb/ft which is what I think you are talking about. The good thing about this flywheel is you can match up any 300zx turbo clutch. That's what I did. I got the RPS max street clutch which is supposedly good up to 625lb/ft. FYI horsepower is irrelevant in clutches. It's torque that makes them slip.

djniknala, did you have all the work done for your car at Innovations Performance? They're like 2 mins away from my house. I really doubt I'll ever go to 500hp, that's just too much money to put into a car for me... regardless of how much I like the car... I think FI + Rims + Rest of my body kit will be making me spend more than enough for my car... How can all you guys afford all this stuff?? + car payments + insurance too?

I've been looking at prices and I think I'm going with the JWT Kit... thanks for suggestions btw....

oh! and how do I join FGC finally, just paypal the fee?

Yeah Larry does all my work. He is top notch. He does most of the high horsepower supras in Orlando. I was there last week and Hulk Hogans new yellow supra was there getting a new auto trans and torque converter. Larry does super clean installs. I can afford this stuff because I broke up with my fiance and work very hard. A good job definitely helps. Stop by his shop and just chat with him. He is very personable. Tell him Alan with the G35 sent you. Actually my car is still there. I'm sure he'll let you see it. It's waiting for my built motor. Should be done next week. Woops, let the cat out of the bag. Hehe.

Click on this thread Florida G35 Club Enrollment Process. It's kind of hard to find due to it being a sticky thread on this forum and all...

Update

UPDATE: Yay! Lokey's got my car and I just got home from dropping off my new JWT clutch/flywheel combo. They aren't charging me for labor because they are installing the new transmission under warranty I'm so happy... get the car back after the weekend. They're still not sure if I need to change the clutch since they haven't torn it down yet, but good excuse to upgrade anyways... They were great to work with, Brian and John are awesome....
