+1,000,000

Lokey Infiniti has done so much for our club in the form of EXCELLENT service that you'd be insane to try and "work" with OI. Call their service dept. and try getting your car over there ASAP!!!

Thanks for the referral guys. Just called him but he hasn't gotten back to me yet, but the thing is that I have 35,5xx miles on my car... so a trip down there unless its confirmed they'll fix it, is useless.. Guess I'll just have to wait to see what John says.... man, I really hope Lokey helps cuz OI still giving me BS this morning when I called them. Thanks again guys....

What's the fascination with 36,000 miles? Doesn't our car have a 4 year - 60,000 mile warranty - bumper to bumper.

Also Lokey is only about 120 miles one way and it takes just under 2 hours if you leave at 6am. Traffic is pretty light and you'll easily make an 8am appt. if you drive the speed limit.

*update* Just got back from Lokey, and worked with one of the service advisor's, the guy was really straight forward and polite about it. Kinda funny actually. I didn't get a chance to talk to John, at first didn't know which of them he was... lolz. But turns out they ended up ordering me a transmission, and it really all depends on what they see when they take everything apart. They acknowledged it was likely a transmission problem, but could be related to the clutch as well. So if my clutch is out, which I doubt, but if it is... should I go aftermarket? I want FI later anyways, so should I spring for the ACT kit or something now?

But thanks again for all the feedback guys.

I recommend Jim Wolf Technology clutch and flywheel. I bet John can even get that for you. Good luck with the car and...

I think its time for you to join the club now FGC members get a discount on services done to your car at Lokey Infiniti. Here's the link to join:

How could you tell your transmission was going? My transmission grinds every once in a while when shifting to 2nd and 5th. But I don't want to take it to Lokey and have them find nothing wrong with the car and make myself feel like an idiot.

I'm under the impression that no matter what gear you go to, as long as your clutch is fully depressed it shouldn't grind? Maybe I'm wrong? I dunno..

Well I could just tell this time because it's happened before, last time I had my transmission replace it started exactly the same way its been doing lately... quick grinds from 5th to 6th or 3rd to 6th about, I'd say once every 3 shifts.... 6th is the retarded one this time btw...

Last time it was the same idea with 5th, small barely noticable grinds from 4th to 5th or 2nd to 5th, all with the clutch fully depressed of course. At times I would just hold the clutch in for 10 seconds then shift slowly to try and figure out what was going on. Those times I'd say about 1 out of 4 times it would grind... 3 months later it would be like 3 out of 4 times it would grind then everytime it would grind "softly" then maybe a month later I just had to completely skip the gear because it grinded so bad and mind you everytime I called the dealership (OI) to ask, but they brushed me off until it was grinding everytime in 5th.

Man, its not like I'm just out to get a free transmission, I just want my car to last me till 200,000 miles if I can. Its my keeper unless of course I could trade it in for a 2005 keeper.. hehee...

Hope that it doesn't have to be that bad for them to want to fix it with Lokey, they seem very nice and willing to help me though, so it looks promising... *crosses fingers*

I've been wanting to, but I'm waiting to see if I can afford trading or possibly my cousin is going to get a G. So in that case I would just get the normal membership and he get the premier or vice-versa... or maybe he'd be the bastard he always is and make me get the premier and mooch off of me...
