Huper Optik vs. Formula One

I'm going to be tinting my 05 DG Coupe in the next week and need some advice on tint. From what I've read, Huper tends to look a bit brownish on our windows. I'm not sure that would look right on a DG car. My other option is Formula One Premier which is charcoal/greyish. By chance I will be near Creative Carz next week and plan on having Dexter do the Huper if that's what I decide to go with. I know many people here have the Huper on their rides. How does it look? The Huper samples on Dexter's website don't look brown at all, but maybe its the green in our glass that does it. Any thoughts?

Well I've never compared those 2 side by side, but I have compared Huper with Llumar side by side and I can say that I like FLFIRE's Huper better than my Llumar.

Sorry, but that's as much input as I can offer. BTW, I didn't notice the 'brown' color that you mentioned.

This is Huper 40% on DG. Don't trust the samples, my Llumar looked a dark blue color on Dexter's sample (much like old tint gone bad). But on the car it's a beautiful silverish color in the sun and dark grey at night. Ask FLFIRE or AznLuder for pics, they both have Huper on DG.

Don't notice any browning with the tint at all. I'm in Tampa too, so if you want to check it out, let me know. It looks great, but to me, it doesn't seem to reflect as much heat as I had hoped. The car still seems hot as hell when I first get in. Isn't it supposed to reflect as much heat as 5% tint? Well, the advantage of huper is that it doesn't interfere with my nav signal.

It's actually Speedoholic's car. Yes he has 40% Huper all around but for the windshield, but he lives up in the NE where in a lot of states tint on the fronts is illegal. 40% IMO is way too light to spend your money on tint at all here in FL. Won't do much to block out the heat (heck my 5-10% doesn't) and it won't even look tinted. But anyway, here's another pic of his car

Thanks guys. I'm heading down to Fort Lauderdale tonight and plan on having Dexter put on Huper Optik 30 first thing in the morning. AZN, what level do you have, 30 or 40? I'm really hoping it helps keep some of the heat out.

I have 30 - the darkest huper. I think you'll be happy with it.

I had Dexter install Huper 30 and it looks great. Any idea how long it takes to cure? There are still a few places that have solution under the tint and was wondering when they would evaporate.

It takes a long time for huper. For me, it took almost 5-6 weeks for the bubbles to completely clear.

It will depend if you are parked outside or in a garage. If outside, it will go much quicker. It took mine about 2-3 weeks to clear out but, I am parked out in the sun all day during the week.

Just remember, don't roll down the windows for a couple of days to be sure.

Post a pic when you get a second.

I'm parked in the sun all day too, but for some reason, it took alittle longer for me. If it doesn't clear up within 3 weeks, be patient.
