Rob, great story and pictures to boot. I got so excited after reading your story, I wanted to play Forza Motorsports on my xbox. Do you still play on Xbox Live? My account name is Demon321. Pm when you want to set up a game and I'll race my Twin turbo'd baby blue colored G35 against your car

Chin Motorsports is also a great group that does alot of track days.

You won't be dissapointed with the cars either. Last time I went to Sebring with them, Stuart Appleby, the pro golfer was there with his M3 race car, his Lamborghini and Panoz race car. Their were also many other nice street cars. I say we get a group together and let the G35's take a track day by storm!

I checked out their website. Their next open track day is December 18 at Moroso. That is a little to soon for my tastes, as I would probably buy a track wheel/tire combo and I might need some new brakes soon. Once dates are listed for next year, I suggest we get some G35s together and get some track time!

Chuck, are you sure you want to cover my costs? The events will cost $200-$300 for one track day...plus a $50 membership for a year...plus $50 for an instruction fee. This fun stuff is expensive!!

That's what I said. You get it set up and I will cover your costs. Can't go to a Track Day without you. I also agree with setting it up for early next year. With holidays fast approaching and your tire/brake issues, it makes more sense.

I had a blast driving on my stock michelin pilots and stock rims. That expendeture I would say is not necessary. But you will want to have a good amount of pad left and change your brake fluid. I have 18,000 miles on my stock Brembos and they were fine and I still have plenty of pad for street use. If you are trying to drive hard enough to toast your brakes on you first ever track day, you are pushing too hard. Knowing my lack of experience I wanted to make sure I was leaving plenty of room for error. The Cobra I passed was destroying his brakes and I passed him all day. I could smell his brakes almost before I could see him!
