Exclamation Long time no post - Attn John Olivia

Hey everyone,

Sorry I haven't been on much lately, fall classes have been taking up most of my time - mainly organic chemistry, and I'm assuming a manager's position at work.

Bad news about my G35 though...

The other night a guy in a riced out CRX cut me off and clipped my bumper, so i honked the horn and flashed my brights - he sped off. I flashed my brights again and gave my girlfriend the phone to call the cops, and he got out of his car and start coming after me. I tried to get out of the lane and get around him, but i got caught at a light and he started to pursue me. We were on the phone with 911, got chased into an apartment complex and then into a gated community (the gate was open so i figured i could lose him behind the gate and maybe i'd be safe in a neighborhood with cameras all over). He followed me around a corner and bumped me from behind, i lost control and went into a yard, clipped a mail box and head on into a tree. He hauled *** away and the cops caught him at the front gate - since it occured on private property though, no tickets were written. Screwed up situation though, and I'm livid about my car especially.

John Olivia - My G was taken to the Lokey Infiniti service center by Progressive insurance. If you can do anything to make sure they take care of it, I'd be forever grateful.

Anyway, hope everyone else is doing well. I'm really going to try and make the next meet - my schedule should free up after this semester.

-Nick

That's total B.S. Sounds like you got a lazy a$$ cop to me. He could have gone either way on that, but just didn't care. That crap happens all the time!

private property or not, you have to follow the rules of the road (Florida Statutes on Motor Vehicle operation). I've never heard of private property being ommited from the laws.

Either way, his insurance should pay for it all. Go that route and see if all will be good.

Dorry to hear about that. Lucky he didn't have a gun and pop a few caps toward you too. Glad the cops got him. There should be something you can do in the civil court if the police don't do anything. I agree that the cop was lazy on the private property thing. They could consider charging him with leaving the scene of an accident.

Call us at the dealer tomorrow. Lokey Infiniti does not have a body shop, but I can make a few local recommendations that will take good care of you.

Sorry to hear of this incident...

Jason,

Nick just called me and said that his right arm and neck were sort of bothering him today. He also said something about being in a lot of pain...

BTW, the guy who hit him was the heir of a multi-billion dollar fortune. I think it was Ronald McDonald's son.

Thanks all. They already put my car in a lokey-affiliated body shop. There's not much I can do to get him to pay for the car because even though he was pursuing me, I was the one who lost control. As for taking him to court, I'm waiting to see what comes of that...doesn't look promising though. The cops treated me like ****. Oh well.

When is the next meet, by the way?
