I'll start by saying "no". However, after a $70 oil change at Nissan, I am considering doing it myself.

I'm actually considering doing it myself too. The big PITA for me is putting the oil in my car and dropping it off. I've got a full container of oil that's at least 2 years old. It's from the pressure washer, lawn mower, etc... and has accumulated over the last 2 years.

Oil changes

I don't change the oil on my G, but what I do is buy my oil and filter and
take it to a friend that charges me $10 for doing the complete job and
this includes checking tires and all fluid levels. I tried the same thing with
the Nissan dealership by my house and this is a guy that used to work
for me. The charges were $47 with my oil and filter.....WTF some friend. Live and Learn!

i do, it is not so much the cost, but knowing it is done properly. I got some of the yellow steel ramps with the special lo pro extenders to do the job with.

I get it done at Lokey for free every 3,750 miles. It is not exactly free since I am paying for it in my car payments. But it kind of feels like its free since I don't have to pay any extra amount of money each time i drive to Lokey.

Oh my goodness its so easy to change oil in these cars save your self some dough and do it yourself. Plus you can look around the undercarrage you may spot something you didn't know about.

I did that the other day....."Wow, Twin Turbos". I use oil changes as an opportunity for Larry to check out my car and make sure nothing is leaking(main seal, turbo return lines, T-bolt clamps, etc.)
