The large grooves channel water out from under the tread. The best traction is attained with a smooth tire (slick) on clean, dry pavement. Slicks are noisy and have zero traction in wet or dirty road conditions.

Also, any out-of-balance condition or bad alignment, causes increased, irregular tire wear. If the tire obtains patterned wear due to these conditions, you will hear a rythmic noise almost like a droneing or bearing rumble.

I suggest you get a friend with a G35 on new or near new tires that does NOT have any noise problems and see if they will let you swap tires with them for a test drive. Since you say it is only while turning, or that turning affects the noise, it is most likely only the front tires.
i thought so as well....but my tires have 5000 miles on them and when i took them off for the season to put on my volk racings they DID NOT have this vibration/rumble when turning to the right....as the winter came near, i put the stocks back on ..and the vibration was there....sooo it can not be a tire issue...

MOST of the vibration and sound is gone but i still get some when taking right curves. Its not pulsing but more constant.

1) What do you think is damaged?
2) Could this cause damage to my new rim if I continue to drive on it?
3) Is there a chance new springs and struts fix it?

The reason im asking and not just taking it in is because my rims are in tampa and I dont wanna have orlando infiniti come pick up my car and then take my rim off.

I Spun out a few months ago and bashed my rims into the curb, my car hasn't driven correctly since. My tires wear in wrong and I too get the noise when curving to the right. I've had my car checked 3 times becuase I had to have the rods replaced and thought something else was bend but Im guessing since your having the problem too its most likely my rim being damaged..

I have also heard wheel bearing could be a problem....but highly unlikely.....

Like i said alignment didn't fix it, wheel balance didn't fix it....sooooo
Your tires are probably worn in wrong because it wasn't aligned thats why they said you needed new tires, just get an alignment done and they should wear evenly in about 1000 miles or so thats what happend to me

I just picked up my car from the dealer fixed. I had the same problem with the vibration/rumble when turning to the right. It turned out to be the wheel bearing was no good in the front right wheel! So if you haven't solved the problem yet....that's the solution!

Before this I had my tires balanced, alignment done, and then they recommened new tires....I just waited till it got worse and then they couldn't blame it on the tires when it obviously was making the vibration/rumble when turning to the right!

Wheel bearing!

Picked up the car...and now my FOG light switch doesn't work...what the hell LOL...

good luck!

No its not the alignment....i specifically told the dealer it wasn't the alignment or the tires.....i recommended checking the bearing to them....which they did..and i was right....but i didn't rub it in when they were trying to sell me two new front tires......

i TOLD THEM i had aftermarket wheels on the car and the vibration started a few months ago....and when i put the stock rims back on for the winter THE VIBRATION was still there (these stock tires had at max 5000 miles on them and were dead silent/vibration free when taken off)..but they still recommended new tires...come on if the sound wasn't there with the stocks taken off....it came with the Volks on....and then I put the stocks on for the winter....and the vibration is still present.....sheeesh....its not the tires....wheel bearing....
