First setback with my coupe...

Well, I went to Little Gasparilla this weekend. Still enjoy driving my car too much to take my beat up '96 Tahoe on road trips. Parked it at the marina over the weekend. Picked it up yesterday afternoon and returned to Sebring. I thought I'd give the car a bath...looked like I had a lot of salt mist on the rear end.

Wasn't salt.

Rear deck and bumber are messssed up. Looks like some kind of acid/chemical burn. I don't have any pictures to show. Dime - quarter size spots with rough texture. Not too discolored. Car has a few coats of Zaino, but to no avail.

Not sure if we have any talented paint guys here in Highlands, so I may be looking to you guys in Tampa/Orlando for some recommendations.

Totalled what was otherwise a great weekend....

Yes...an island near Englewood. No vehicles on the island. I had parked at this place a number of times without incident.

Inspected the car a little more this morning. Small specks on the roof and right-rear corner panel...man I'm hot. I fear it was intentional...there is a very slight crack in the right brake light housing. Looks like someone threw a bottle or something, hitting the bake light housing and then spraying the rear of the car. Sigh...not a buff job either...paint is hammered.

That's awful. I'm really sorry to hear about that.

Gilley...your avatar captures my expression when I tried to wash it.

Happy belated birthday, btw.

My expression would be a lot more angry. But I often get that expression throughout the day.

Thanks for the B Day wishes.

I'm in the legal field too BTW.
