brake pads help/suggestions
Since no one wants to reply to my thead in the Brakes/Suspension forum, I thought I'd try here.
Does anyone know how to reduce brake squeel? I thought I heard about some kind of spray product? I specifically bought the Project MU NS pads over the B-Force pads so I could avoid the annoying brake squeeling....but the brake squeeling with the NS pads is UNBEARABLE! It only last for the first minute or so until the brakes warm up, but I can't take it. It hurts my ears, especially in the parking gargaes at UCF...everyone stares because it is so loud!!!
Can anyone suggest other pads in the same category (less brake dust/just as good bite compared to Brembos)?

It does, but I do not want to do this everyday. I really can't stand the squeel. I just want to run myself over every time I hear them squeel.
Also, are the pads suppossed to be touching the rotor, even thought the brakes are not being applied? When I was installing the exhaust, I spun my wheels with my hand and could hear friction between the pad and rotor. Also, I can hear squeeling when I turn... someone please help... arhhh!!!

It depends on the cause of the squeal. sometimes the pads squeal because of vibrations while sitting in the caliper, so you can get some stuff to apply to the back of the pad. If the squeal because they are glazed, then you can resurface them. There may be other causes beyond these.

I used porterfield brake pads r4s on my lincoln ls and "NEVER" had one squeel. But they are not cheap. I would definitely us them again.
