Jose,
Good meeting you, yet this was not an Auto-X! You would be about 100 times more than what we had set up that day, and only do one lap and then cool down. If you have never done it - try it, go onto www.SCCA.com and find a region near you. It only cost you $20-$30 for the whole day.

k - for those of you that got the bug, how about driving a real road coarse with actual instructors in the car. And they let you ride 6" off of people bumber and pass! And there will be more than one car on track with you, a lot more! There is a event at Roebling in two weeks that I will be at, I think they have a few spots still open. If any one is interested check it out:
http://www.motorsportreg.com/calenda...3C556DC5D55E12

And for those of you that want to see what a track day looks like, check out the in car camera of some tracks close to you:

(check out Road Atlanta - you can drive a road coarse with elevation changes, unlike Florida.)

Here is some video from Carolina Motorsports Park, in Kershaw, SC, from a guy I know from the RX8 club forum. He's driving a vette. Check out his HIGH TECH G-METER!!! I love it!

This is a hell of a track, lots of turns, very fast, and heck of a lot of fun. There is an event there with NASA, July 14-15. I'll be there.

Notice the passing with the point-bys. This is what an HPDE is like, but you have an instructor with you teaching you lines, car dynamics, technique, and strategy.

also notice the low-tech, do-it-yourself g-meter. if you guys are looking for more track time, you can't afford not to consider safemotorsports.com. LOTS of track time for the $ and in most cases the experience drivers will ride with you or let you ride with them for a session to get you up to speed on the safe line.

Remember the real racing line (during a race) is where another car isn't.
