Same reason I didn't go with Ps2

Question: Is there a switch required between the Nav and the DVD player?

If so where did youput it?
Yes, there is a toggle switch that switches between the two. Right now its just dangling, until I decide where to mount it. I am thinking about going to the dealer and getting another rocker switch similiar to the seat warmer buttons. I have 3 slots; two for seat warmers, and the 3rd for the dvd switch.

Another question after watching a few movies: When I crank it up all the way, when the bass hits really hard, the sound seems to almost skip (decreases in volume and everything); any ideas? The video seems to stay stable, because I thought maybe the bass was actually causing the DVD to skip, because it's quite a bit of bass, but doesn't seem to be the case. When I turn the bass down on my subs, it works fine.

It was $125 on a group buy, $140 shipped. There are two options, the non-plug-n-play requires splicing wires, and the plug-n-play you just snap in. I think the plug-n-play is an extra $100 and I believe the 05' is more too.

I have the 06 Plug and Play..

Here is a DIY thread on the install (its not 100% plug and play, there is 1 ground wire!)

Check your wires coming out of the DVD to the interface.. sounds like a wire might be loose and is vibrating and breaking connection when bass hits.
Did you twist and tape? Crimp and tape? or solder and tape?

Solder and tape. It only happens with bass, not with like turning or any hard body roll, even takes bumps fine.

Todd,

I will be sending Dan a few switch modules that will allow you to use your VDC switch to toggle between Navi and video (or anything else you would want to switch), would you be interested in testing it out? It will be a much cleaner install then a toggle switch!

Yeah, I'll test that **** out. You coming over to install it though, I don't trust Dan, even though I'm posting under his name.
