New Nitrous Times 11.83 and 11.94

copied from my350z

well well... i just got home from the track, everything went well. i bogged pretty bad off the first run, the 11.94 but i was happy with it. that was on a 125 shot. then i retarded the timing one more degree and upped the jets to 150 shot. the problem now is that at 7200 in 4th gear i am hitting 114-115. soooo on the second run i tried to shift early and hit the nitrous in 5th. didnt work out so well. i trapped 92 in the 1/8th on the second run so i can definently improve on my time and mph. the second run i actually kinda burnt my clutch a bit on the burnout, it started catching traction early and then i pushed in the clutch just a bit and changed my mind.... yeah i wont do that again!!

picked up 26 mph on the first run on the last 1/8th wooo hoooo

very happy tonight and i know those times can improve for sure!!!

1.63 60 foot hehehe

Congratulations on beating the 1/4mile record of the fastest e46 M3, lol. Who needs a turbo these days?

Isn't your trap speed on the low side though? And how did it feel without a muffler, lol.

Wow!!! Very, very impressive, Jeremy!!!

Going through the lights at 7200 in 4th gear is a bit tight. Take good care of your rotating parts...

I don't know much about Nitrious. Does it bleed down past the rings like other fuels? Make sure you don't contaminate your oil. That could be, uh, bad. Might be a good idea to change your oil and filter a bit more often under these circumstances.

Sounds like you're having a great time... enjoy the ride!!!

well i am thinking about going with the 3.9 gearing pretty soon, people always go the opposite route and do the 3.3 gears, i have incredible traction so i think i would rather just get deep into 5th gear

i can do taller tires but i LOVE my setup right now, not sure, have to think about it. i would love to keep it NA but it costs so much so you might as well go forced induction. i know my car will run high 12s NA right now as it sits, so with the final drive 3.9 people are knocking 3 tenths off their quarter mile. that would be nice to have a mid 12 sec all motor Z. its really not that far away,

plus i am stock headers, stock cams, stock bottom end, stock heads, much much more room to improve...

That sounds like a smart approach, but you'll lose some of your incredible traction with the taller gears.

Fifth gear is direct in our six speeds, so it's probably the best gear to go through the traps in. The new rear end gears will keep you in the power band longer. I've always thought rear end gears made the single-most improvenet in a car. Not many people went FI back in my day though.

Yea, NA would be a lot easier on your motor, for sure. I'd do the rear end gears for sure, either way. I think you will be surprised at how much difference the gears make.

I would go with a taller tire first... it will improve your 60ft and is a cheaper alternative to gears...

yeah i am kinda leaning that way now cause my traction on the street would be even worse. at least with the slicks it would only be at the track.

now i just have to figure out how much bigger. i am running 26X8.5s now

they make 27s 28 s and 29s in my widths
