Not sure why Dan. Ihaven't seen many other vortech set ups other than mine. My kit was purchased in early 04 (don't know if they changed at some point)

Updated review: went back to installer to tighten the belt today, belt started to squeal only after 60 miles of hard driving. After tightening the belt the squeal is gone and definately improved the boost. Trying to get dynoed this week. Will update with numbers.

Congarts on Vortech.
Try dyno at MRC this Sunday - cheap – so that I can hear how loud Vortech in coupe actually is.

Thanks

That's awesome. Does it sound the same as a BOV on a turboed engine or does it make the supercharger whine noise?

the idle can simply be raised at the same time your car gets tuned correct? Meaning any tuner can raise it? If thats the case, I dont see why most people are complaining about the noise at idle if raising the idle fixes it? Or does it just improve the noise a little?

hmmm, do alot of you run vortechs w/o tranny upgrades? dont you run the risk of blowin the transmission? I was a bit afraid to dump money on a S/C w/o VB upgrade

I believe pre-2004.5 models can have dealer easily adjust idle. My 04 was adjusted from 6-700 to be 950 RPM. I thought I heard newer cars were not able to have the idle adjusted as easily, but it was still possible. I do not know if just any tuner could raise it.

Anyone else know?

Just to let people know, if the dealer says that can't then Technoquare probably can.

u giving no credit to out AT tranny. Its the tq that you have to worry about in the AT. SC dont make much torque so if u stay around 330lb tq then u dont need to replace your tranny as fast compared to turbos with 400lb tq

I have an 05 and my idle is raised to 900 rpm by the dealership with the consult II. Also, there's a 06 with raised idle too.

Xman's TRanny blew with Vertex on his 04 G35x at 266lb T,

I wonder if the G35x has even weaker 5AT?
or
Because he did not install Tranny Cooler right After SC
or
04 G35x has older TCM software that's updated in 05 G35x
or
Xman got a weaker tranny than average?

I am leaning towards getting a Tranny cooler with Tranny Tempreture Gauge.
for my 05 G35x, I think this should be ok to handle the HKS SC that's only 300lb T. Without VB upgrade.

Any thoughts?
