adding Motordyne 1/2" plenum spacer w/o Retune... bad idea??

I am thinking of adding a 1/2 plenum spacer to my 04 G35C APS TT at ~9.5PSI

The car is tuned very rich high 10's low 11's

Would it be safe to add a 1/2 spacer or wait until I can add it and retune.

Just wondering how much of a real impact it will have on the tune.

Do you still have the stock intake plenum? You didn't do any modification on the plenum itself? If it's still stock then it would be beneficial to you cus it will allow more air into the last to chambers. I will also suggest isothermal gasket to complete the setup.

I know that but its not the same for forced induction as a NA application as it would throw off the A/F ratio, I was looking for a reply from someone with some tunning expierance, thanks though.

all cars react differently with mods. U might be lucky and not need a tune after u install the spacers. U bascially need a retune everytime u add stuff with FI (ie bigger exhaust, injectors, test pipes, etc.). Spacers help for NA and it will help even more for FI but as for the a/f ratio, no one will know for sure until u put it on the dyno.

depends what logging capability you have now. if you can log A/F etc - you can road tune and see if it runs lean or you get knock... if you don't have the equipment, then it's hard to say for certain, but considering you're running rich you'll *probably* be ok...

Ill be installing my Innovate LC-1 XD-1 combo soon, Ill probally do it after i install this device.

Does installing a better flowing exhaust with test pipes also make the a/f mixture a little more lean?
