clutch/flywheel recommendations for ST.
okay, think my clutch is going. i got a turbonetics st kit on my '03 6speed coupe. tried searching the forums....couldn't come up with anything. i know i know..im bad at searching. so if someone could direct me to a link if its already been discussed? so far i've been thinking of the JWT clutch/flywheel combo. anyone else got any recommendations? not tracking the car, jus more of a hard daily driver.
thanks.

people who own the JWL clutch, they cann't tell the differencs between the 03, 04 clutch than the JWL. In my opinion i think the worest clutch is the 05 and 06.
check out this site .. the carbon clutch looks interesting but it's not cheap.

My first choice would be the ATS carbon, followed by the JWT (especially if you are cost conscious), if you are not racing at stoplights, frequently going to HPDE, etc. If you often go HPDE and you are FI on a stock motor, the twin disc ATS is a good choice. If you are FI on a built motor, then the triple disc ATS would be a strong contender.
yeah, ATS would be ideal if i had the mula. how is the RPS clutch? i really want a little more firm pedal feel for better control. nothing crazy stiff though. yeah, i was thinking jwt combo cuz of the value and i've heard some good reviews. would it be ideal to get a lightened flywheeel on a single turbo on stock motor setup? or would it be better to just get the stock resurfaced?
If you have to break down the case to get in there anyway, it is time to replace it. You are spending the labor money anyway and it is basically the same to upgrade or replace. The marginal or incremental parts cost to get the JWT is meaningless compared to the significant performance upgrade. If you do the JWT flywheel I don't think you can use the stock clutch anyway.
If it was my car on those specs and use profile, I would go JWT. One thing you can count on, is that if it has Jim Wolf's name on it, it works.

Clutchmasters stage 3. stock flywheel because i don't like the chatter. stock feel, holds the power i'm pushing so far. once i build the motor for more boost, i'll install an ats twin disc.
You might consider the ACT Street Disc with Stage 1 Pressure plate. Thats what I'm running in my Turbonetics Z right now. Its been great for me. I'd also get their Prolite flywheel while you're at it.
JWT! JWT!
I drove many different G's with the different clutches ACT was whatevers ATS is amazing but expensive. OS Giken is great too not too expensive. But overall the JWT was the best buy and I know a handful of people running more than 500rwhp on them with tracking and no problems.
To top it off you have almost no noise.

Eagle1,
I am running the 14lb JWT flywheel with the stock clutch. It's working pretty good with my 350 rwhp and 310 ft/lb SC G35. Turbos deliver power more abruptly and have more torque, so it might not be enough. They are noisey SOBs though.

I JWT clutch will hold plenty....The stock clutch is crap get rid of it. Unless youre really planning on building motor and going more than 500wrhp stick with JWt its your best buy. If you start getting into carbons you looking at like 2k min.
