it's obviously not stupid if they're putting it on firebirds and camaros that are just as low as our cars. You dont think that they thought about this issue before making kits for a number of different cars.

to the OP, they are making one for the Z, maybe it'll fit the G as well with some minor modifications.

Thanks for the link. It will be quite interesting to see how things develop for STS.

What about hitting water when that sucker is nice and hot? Aren't you going to be a lot more likely to have issues with cracking due to such sudden changes in temp?

I think it's great to get that hot blower out of the engine-bay, but there are a number of good reasons why the engine-bay is a good location (even with the added heat output).

I saw the guys on HorsePower TV install one of these exact kits on a C5 corvette and went from 330 at the wheels to 520 something...amazing...

I happened to record that episode, it was pretty good. I was actually impressed that they were able to make 7 PSI. I still question the turbo lag though, like a stock C5 can't do a dry burnout or something. Who were they trying to fool?

I talked to STS last year and the said that they were developing a kit for us. I called them last week and they said exactly the same thing. So I wouldn't hold my breath for a bolt on kit to come out for us anytime soon. I suspect that they are having trouble working out what they want to use for engine management and/or replacement injectors.

My mind is boggled at all the extra piping you are going to need to remotely mount a turbo. Also dealing with space issues under your car, etc......

I don't like where the air filter is placed on these applications.

i looked into these about 2 months ago and they quoted me 3300 for the full system shipped to my door! which is not bad at all for a tt setup! they told me i would make between 400 and 700 whp! depending on the boost i wanted to use of course! this sounded to good to be true to me! i didnt buy because my car is about 6 months old at the time and wanted to make the most of my warrenty!

did they even advise you on getting your engine built to handle such an increase? if not, the person on the other line is just making a sale.......also, can they put that quote in writing? for that price shipped, it's an awesome deal......
