How do you guys afford your FI kits?
I bought most of my initial NA mods 3 months before I bought the car...then spent about 8 months building at a pace that made sense.
Typically I use the Miles card for big purchases - cash for others - especially if better pricing is available for cash. ;-)

I can't answer for everyone, but my reason was this. Before purchasing the Vortech kit, I was in doubt if I still liked the G, because I was looking for alot more power and it had been a couple years, and I was geting bored. We'll after weeks of debating, I chose to keep the G, and go F.I. thinking this would gain back that lost love. Thus the reason I purchased my Vortech kit. The loss of love for the G was gained back by the initial jump in power, sound, and attention brought by the kit. But soon enough, a couple months after having it on, the loss of love for the G returned. It's not the kit itself, but I feel that when people purchase the kit, they are looking for something that might cure that "loss of love" for the G. Like i did, to only find that it was not a complete cure. A Z06 is probably going to be more of my fancy, but we'll see... Anyways, I hope that helps answer your question.
Now those that purchase the kit, having that complete love the G, and just looking for a bump in the power, the kit is purfect! Especially if you can find one for a good price.

Two years now, I am still in love with my G,
I am building the one & only AWD HKS Supercharged G
very slowly so I can enjoy the process & drag it on in case
the S/C to bring in trouble to the AWD 5AT.
My goal is to have it keep up with the 07 BMW TT 335i so that I won't be
tempted by more expensive new cars. <p>
Therefore, my FI is not "spending money", It's "saving money" for my family
