IPT valve Body for $499
Has anyone worked with this company?
http://www.importperformancetrans.co...uto.shtml#main
They also has a solomoid upgrade for 189.
I wonder if there's a need for both?

I have. But their website doesn't even list a valvebody upgrade for the 350Z/G35. Like you, I have an automatic and intend to beef up the tranny. I'm gonna wait and save up for the transmission upgrades offered by SGP Racing. Check out www.sgpracing.com
Their valvebody upgrade is priced at $1,000, but it's supposed to be good for up to 550whp. They also offer torque converters and full tranny builds. They're developing a full auto tranny upgrade to withstand 850+whp!

Yeah I tried to do some skimming over of the IPT on 350Z forums and it seems like its more a generic biuld, unlike some of the others [SGP, Stillen, Level 10] that offer it specifically for our cars.
I got the SGP done about 5 months ago and love it. You'll be able to talk **** to the 6MT guys on every single thing that hate on autos about. Well worth the money!!!! Chirping through 3rd is a great feeling![Smilie](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Edit: Of course, I wouldn't want to downplay anyone else trying to help out us G and Z guys because the more the merrier. But especially for your Sedan I wouldn't want what is an "off-brand" right now. If it gets proven, then sure... but your HKS is putting out enough power you need something reliable enough to actually get it to the wheels!

I am listing what I learned so far:
modifying tcm: None of the VB upgrade does that.
increasing line pressure: Every VB upgrade start with this.
changing solenoid: SGP & IPT (Optional ). Sharif (Not confirmed, but frequently claimed with a general statement: "same as SGP".
changing cooling: That's by External Tranny cooler, not VB upgrade.
I installed a Trannt T. meter instead.
I am at 125 degrees, no need for a cooler yet.
changing clutch packs: None of them does that as part of VB upgrade.
IPT & other transmission company could do it with
$$$.
I don't like vendors hide under the term "proprietary", which translate into plain english terms = "If I disclose it, it'll have a negative impact to my business".
Also, I am not doing solonoid, even thou IPT offers it as an option.
He told me it's only needed fro high milage cars. (>100,000 miles)

The difference will be $$. Probably not performance.
I have to take my whp into account. If I have TT & gets to >400whp,
I may go to the quickest shift, probably get SGP.
I am at just over 300whp.
For me, the VB choices should look like this"
<250 whp Stay stock
250-350 whp: IPT, Stillen, L10 VB upgrade, line pressure only
400-550 whp: SGP
350-400 whp: may go either way
>550 whp: need more tranny work than just VB
