Wow, talk about a lot of up-selling. All those goodies on a stock block? I see they want a return blown motor customer.

If your state requires smog/visual inspection, make sure you can afford to play. Do alot of reading before you decide. Check FI section at my350z.com, if and when that site goes back up. Once you've installed the kit with a fully built motor, theres no turning back. Fully built motor will not pass smog even if you just remove the FI kit. Your pretty much screwed. Some guys simply register their car in another state to get around the smog, but its hassle. For us guys in Cali, for newer cars, we dont have to smog for 6yrs., so we keep the kit for few years then maybe remove it when time to smog, assuming you dont have the smog hook-up. Now, if you do get caught, its a fixit ( remove FI kit ) and a visit to smog referee + court appearance and fine. Hope you know or have a really good mechanic, once everthing is done, your G is more like a project car, than a daily driver. Warranty on your G is now void. Now is it worth it? Only if you can afford it. You gotta pay to play, as they say.

has anyone ever heard of anyone getting pulled over with a fixit ticket with an FI kit? Ive never read any stories of that, which is surprising considering how many people are FI.

I live in PA and have not had any problems with inspection / emissions (APS TT). Just make sure that you either leave the stock cats, or go with a HFC to pass the visual. By the way, I did the install myself and then had the car tuned. The base tune is fine to get the car where you need to for a retune. If you're looking for a shop closer than AAM, try CarV2 in Wilmington. Top notch work, and their prices are fair.

I'm pretty sure that the JWT kit comes with it's own oil pan spacer for example. What's a throttle body spacer? (Guess I haven't been paying attention to the latest innovations).
Its so you can hook up guages easily, its pretty sweet design

I'd love to have the car but I'm having a hard time justifying 15,000 here haha. Especially if it is going to give me problems, like the PA emission tests, I had a performance car before and they would not pass emissions if any codes existed, even if the CEL was off! -Cuz i tried to pull the bulb out ;D hehe

What are you guys doing? Paying cash straight up, or getting a loan, etc. I can't find a reliable place around me that will do the install, only a place 3+ hours away and thats making it that much more difficult for the decision.
Is FI worth it? Thats a personal decision. I can tell you that I can't stand driving around in a car that has no go to it. From a financial point of view its not worth it but, if it will make you happy then go for it. You only live once.

I think most people pay cash or use credit for their kits. I don't think you'll be able to get a loan for FI. Also, why not just go with a Greddy kit. Its designed to be used on a factory block and I believe you can get away with smog if its tuned properly. New w/ intercooler you can buy them for just under $6k and if you go used its even less. Just ditch the Emanage and get a EU of Utec and have someone tune it well. Im sure others will disagree but, I think you can make a solid 400-420whp on a stock motor. Its all in the tune.

Hopefully someone can tell you where theres a good shop but, I believe that there is a very reputable shop in NJ. The name escapes me right now but, someone will know.

i would check around more, i am a sponsor on my350z and i am doing some specials right now for my grand opening if you look in the marketplace/vendor section when it opens back up.

you can get a basic greddy kit done for 10 000 with guages...

thats from 400-420 all day long on my dynojet.

well considering the kit is 4900 and guages a 1000, even you are putting 4,000 labor into it then

Sgp Quote!!!

sgp racing in houston quotes me install for jwt tt for 9 G. where the other six come from, ????? sgp said jim wolf did all teh tuninng with the kit already, all those extra tunning is useless i guess, and if u go over 400 with stock internal, and if u like to play alot, u goin to hae ur car for about a month until it blew up - i hope not, but the chance it will is very high
