Stillen Supercharger?

Stillen Supercharger?
I was just browsing the web and saw the Stillen SC that's CARB legal for our cars. Anyone know or have any info on this? I would love to add some good power to the car and not have to strip it down to smog it. I've been through that headache before and would like to avoid it. I couldn't find a price on it. Any info appreciated.

Check out the ATI Procharger and Vortech supercharger...I think you'll be happier with either of those products...Check out www.i-m-racing.com and www.sgpracing.com to check out forced induction options...You'll get better quality and keep money out of Stillen's pockets...Oh yeah, I don't like Stillen...Did anyone on this forum know that? Anyone?

SnMDEsignStudio,
really, i didn't know u like stillen!
Anyway, i don't like the stillen supercharger at all. You have to replace the hood and it one butt ugly hood. Take a look at this thread,

Ack, that is fugly! But the price is sooo appealing. Don't like the idea of a new hood though. Seems like the other SC's coming out are over $6 GRAND! I might as well go Turbo for that much. That'll be my last mod anyhow so I can wait for some new one's to show up.

hehehe...
You're better off waiting a few months to see what else comes out, and see if we can come up with some inside info pertaining to any Nismo forced induction systems that may be under research and development...Part of me thinks that Nissan knows they should offer something up under the R-Tune series, and part of me doubts it...At any rate, the more FI options that come into play can only help bring pricing down a bit...I think several sites have great prices right now, however

Re: Stillen Supercharger?
ummm well i would deffently not buy a stillen super chager that this is compleatly worth less. You are only gaining lke 60 HP. or somthing really crapy like that. You are better off to save up for a little bit and then buy an ATI procharger or a Vortec. Or like me go with Turbos. But i agree i would wait a little bit becuase the prices will go down as there is more compitition. as far as Nismo making some sort of F/I i wouldnt hold ur breath. They are very slow at every thing they do and even if they do make somthing it will be over priced and probaly not as good as the other after market products out there.
Good luck man

Well it's 60 rwhp while maintaining smog legal standards. That's the plus side to it. I'm sure it can always be tuned and have more boost added as well. But no way am I getting anything that requires a hood change so it's out the door anyhow. I still haven't seen the other SC's you mentioned. I'll do a search for them. I've always liked Vortec.

Re: Stillen Supercharger?
awesome thanks for the links. Hmmm, the Procharger looks nice but it doesn't say much about the noise factor. My friend had a SC on his Camaro that sounded god awful whiny. I also didn't see a price. Anyone have any of these installed and can give their opinion on it?
