whats the cheapest FI system overall out of the box?

What is the cheapest FI system you can buy out of the box including everything to make it run and reliably.....i know f/I isnt cheap but im only looking for about 340-350whp i dont want anymore cause i dont want to have to build the motor or anything like that i was thinking about the stillen supercharger...but im not a fan of the whole hood thing......the vortechs nice but i was wondering if there any other options....is it possible to run the greddy twin turbo with no intercooler on a conservative tune.....i had a turbo rsx-s with the greddy kit, no intercooler it was fine and i had an evo 8 with alky close to 400awhp before this car....so im just looking for something thats reliable with some upgradeability but i dont need anything crazy and i know what im doing with F/I ive had cars two turbod cars before and did everything my self on them including installing the turbo kit.....i have been searching around alot, just need some help on deciding. soo let me know and ill greatly appreciate it.

I heard Greddy Kits are more like tuner kit.. You have to buy a lot more stuff than what it comes with in the box.. If you don't have rev-up and want some more power with F/I then I would go with Vortech.. Oh and I heard Turbonetics STs are very easy to install.. But Good luck..

Any boost on the vq35 and you need an intercooler or it goes boom fast!!!
If you want cheap out of the box look at the marketplace for a used st or sc unit. Theyll run you abour 3k-3.5k without gauges or a tune.

My first thought is that if this is your mindset, you're not ready for boost. After the costs of the kit, there's supporting mods that are needed. Then there's tuning costs. Don't forget the inevitable maintenance and repair costs. If you can barely afford the kit, then you're dreaming...

Stillen Stage I, or a used vortech kit.

And Triple8sol is completely right, I was dabbling with the thought of a blower... but when your doing something that changes your car completely like this, you really should and need to do it right-- I think anyone who boosts and doesn't build their tranny or engine within a short amount of time (miles) is pretty stupid.

I was going to go a TN ST kit or vortech, but I realized boosting is going big... and if im going big, im just going to save my money for a while (the car is definitely fast enough to hold me over considering i have almost every bolt on) and go really freaking big... greddy TT and building everything shortly after..

I'll be good for 600+ rwhp

Granted not for everyone.. but if you want low power, a lot of fun, reliablity and braggings rights... stillen all the way.

Yeah... First that's what I wanted to do too.. I was looking into something that will give me what I want out of the box. So I can install and everything.. But now.. I realized that that's not the safest way to go.. Maybe cheapest way(for while maybe) but it's not what I wanted.. So I gonna wait until I have at least 15k.. So I can rebuild my engine and put twin turbo.. Yes you can still put vortech on your car out of the box and drive around.. But you know you gonna want more power as soon as you get the kit.. HAHA.. I was saying that I don't want something crazy either.. But after getting few N/A mods.. I NEED SOMETHING CRAZY!!!.. So.. Not picking a fight or anything.. Just telling you maybe you should think about what you really want.. Cause if you just want something boosted and have the boost sound probably vortech will be perfect.. But if you wanna go TT or ST.. People will probably recommand you to save up more money and get it done at the shop and proper tune..

naa i dont mind spending more later on i just want a decent setup for now thats safe and makes some decent power.....i know f/i causes problems and all that i just want to know which is cheaper to run vortech, stillen, or turbonetics st turbo kit.....just good enough to get it in the car and it runing safely for alittle while....ill be willing to do more later..but ill never build the motor fully up just small additions unless i have to.

illl be installing it all myself to i have experience and know what im doing ive done turbo kits before and cams and crap.....but just curious what the installations like on each kit.

All I can tell you is FI and cheap don't mix. Once you go FI you'll probably not be happy with the power output EVENTUALLY and want more if your like me and so much others I know.

Another thing always be ready for the worst.

If your very postivie about not doing much later on, I say go with a TN ST kit stock settings boost ect.. and call it a day. If you definately want to go big later on, go with a TT kit like Greddy, cheap to start with and safe once you don't turn it up and you can always upgrade later on, turn it up and make some decent numbers.

Good luck.
