Saw your other post...you have +400trq and only 330rwhp? that seems to be wrong..maybe the tune is off? I'd hold off on shipping it out yet as its pretty costly cos your talking roundtrip. why did you even do a VB upgrade with that power? I'd try getting a stock VB.
You should post your problems on my350z where the shop is 'highly regarded'. I dont think they would want there rep soiled...u might get better response from the shop and other members there might have some insight.
how long (and how many miles) did you drive car after getting it back and it going limp?
I've only had my JWT TT with stock AT for 3k but with no problems.

think you should try posting on my350z.com. lot more guys TT and AT guys that might have had your problems. Forged Performance has done lots of installs on JWT. must be somthing else...tranny itself dead??
That really sucks. I feel your pain because I dumped a tranny on my X after having a vortech installed. My car was in the shop more last year than I had it. Knock on wood, everythings running fine now.
Hi everyone, its Sharif from Forged Performance. The shop that Wolf is refering to us us!
Wolf, I think you are leaving out some key information, and I would like to clarify a few things here.
1) Wolf's car has not been here for "months". We completed his JWT kit install and several other mods in about 3 weeks, including 1.5 weeks of wait time as a result of ground shipping on the VB. The car was delivered on time, and Wolf was always informed of status.
2) When Wolf informed us of the shifting hesisation, he brought the car back, and we drove it together...definately not right in auto mode, based on our 20+ VB's that we have sold or installationed. The feedback on our VB's has been consistently positive, and until this situation, we have not heard one bad thing about our VB's.
3) We agreed to remove the VB, (at our expense), and ship it back to the trans shop (at our expense), for inspection. The technician replaced the springs, and said everything looked OK. They recently switched to a slightly different spring, so he decided to rule this out, by putting the older style spring in the VB.
4) The VB was reinstalled, and we drove the car...still having some shifting hesitations in D mode, but seems better in manual mode. Wolf drove the car home, and after driving it further, he said the issue still persisted.
5) I asked our trans shop to send us an OEM VB, and he shipped it overnight (at our expense), and the next day, Wolf came in and we swaped in the OEM VB. At this point, there was no throttle control at all. We did TCM initializiation, and still nothing. So we then put the orginal VB back in his car, and still no throttle control
At this point, I realized we needed to do some further trouble shooting, so I sent Wolf home with a Sandy's Lexus as a free loaner. (Wolf still has this car now..and I am happy to do this).
The point I would like to make to everyone, is that we do stand behind our work, but since this new issue occured, WOLF's car has been at our shop for about 4 business days...not months. We have had a Nissan and an Infiniti tech use the Consult II to assist with trouble shooting, and we are STILL IN THAT PROCESS.
We are NOT, nor to we plan to charge the customer for ANY of this trouble shooting, towing, overnight shipping, or experimentation. We have spent several hundred dollars of our own funds to find a solution to this issue. On occasion, a unique problem crops up, and it can time and resources to figure out the issue.
Wolf is a long standing customer of ours, and I understand his goals and desires for the car. He wanted something RELIABLE, and as OEM in fit and finish as possible. To this end, we performed proven and safe modifications to his car. But cars are not perfectly uniform, and we are not perfect either. What we ARE, is a high quality operation, that stands behind our work. This is the reason we are not charging Wolf for any of this, and even gave him a loaner car to drive around in, while we figure this out.
Wolf, in regards to SGP, they are a great shop no doubt. Probably the best shop in central part of the USA. But it is very easy for a shop to have a "can do attitude" when they havent seen the problem, and they are commenting on the work of another shop.
If you would like us to ship the car to SGP, I will do so at our expense. But somehow, I dont think you will be happy with that either. It is easy to vent on the boards, and I share your frustration, but we have been extremely gratious and fair with you, and I would expect the same from my customers.

Wow Sharif
, I've never been a customer of yours (yet) but I congratulate you on your determination to provide the best customer service you can. I think you're going way above the norm of a typical tuner and I hear your sincere attempt to make this customer satisfied. This is how all tuners should be.

kudos sharif. awesome response. you clearly have a great rep for a reason... when you find the cause please share as i'm slowly working my way towards a similar setup (w/ built motor though) and i also have a 5at.
it really sounds like a wiring/electrical issue... good luck and best wishes for a speedy (inexpensive) solution.
