FI on a Rev-Up

I have been doing research and have all but decided on the APS ST setup. Will I have any issues with it on the Rev-up engine? I have searched, but could find nothing on here or my350z. If there is a thread about it, please link me to it.

Contact Paranormal. He's got an APS TT on his 05 revup coupe, if I recall. Of course, that's a twin versus the single you're interested in, and to my knowledge the 06 had changes with the steering rack, but it's a place to start.

Or you could always contact somebody like Sharif directly for more information. For what it's worth, I'd stay away from the APS ST. I've read about way too many issues with that kit. Before you decide on that kit, contact tig488 to get his opinions. I don't know if he posts on here very much any more, but he's still pretty active on my350z.

If you are going turbo, do it right and go Twins. Most of the ST guys end up going TT anyway.

I agree with ^^^ there are some issues with the APS ST kit. APS makes awesome stuff but the ST was not their best work.

sounds like me.

So yourself a favor, go with a twin kit.......that's the advice that was given to me along time ago, and I didn't listen. 1st I had nittous. That was killer. Then, Ihad the TN ST kit, and was fairly disappointed after reading all the hype. Now, I have the Greddy TT kit, and it is everything you'll want!!!!

I keep going back and forth between the Vortech and the APS ST for 2 reasons: my g is a daily driver and I dont want to do internals right now. I have been reading on my350z and havent seen the issues with the APS ST. Can someone elaborate for me?

I've got the JWT TT on my 05 revup with stock internals. Works great.

we seem to all have problems deciding on FI here, inclusing myself.

I think the issue for most of us and myself is we dont have 10k to toss out for a TT kit. Heh..maybe it is just me

from what ive seen on g35s, single turbos arnt as fast as the supercharges

with that being said I think the votech sc is the way to go for the supercharge aspect because as far as I can see/know its the fastest

well Vinny Ten did a lot of research and a Turbonetics Single Turbo kit will work on a 6MT '06 Rev Up Sedan. and single turbos u can produce nice times versus Supercharged--- maybe people just can't drive lol

I don't mean to be a d!ck, but that's a really dumb statement...WHP being equal, an ST will beat an SC 9/10 be it Stillen, Vortech, or ATI. The TQ on an ST is much higher than the Vortech or ATI, and the Stillen...well...no comment about the Stillen

Take it from someone who's HAD the Vortech and decided on TT.

How about I give you a ride in my car when it's done and you can decide for yourself?

^^well I was stating an opinion from what I have been seeing from races, Ive been searching around and have little info (and no acc on 350z yet)so dont be too rough on me
and no need for applause.. :/

one thing about researching and posting is finding out new things so that really helped me out because now id bring the SG back into my discion on what FI to go to.

haha I may take you up on that offer 617g

I know that the Turbonetics kit is very popular, but I know of two respected tuners that don't recommend them anymore. Just food for thought.

Like I said, I'm not trying to be a dick, but you really should join my350z.com. There is a LOT of useful information in the FI forum there.

That being said, I think with your "budget," I would get a Vortech. With the 7k redline, and new pulley design, the Vortech really comes alive on the revup. I would suggest you buy a tuner kit, get bigger injectors, a Walbro pump, and a new EMU and go talk to Ballistic about the install. He recently did a Vortech on a rev-up that dynoed at 440whp on a Dynojet. The tq was a flat 360 4k to redline. It's not as much as an ST or TT, but it's no slouch by any means. I had a Vortech on the 287hp engine and it hauled ***...I just wanted more I would stay away from ST on the rev-up only because they're not made specificly for it and there's a lot of modification that needs to be done. Your best bet would be one of the TT kits or a Vortech. Like I said, I recommend the Vortech

I would be more than happy to give you a ride once my car is done. I'll even turn down the boost to 8psi, which is what you'll most likely be running on stock internals

I pmed you with Ballistic's information. Give Scott a call!!! He will be able to help you make the right decision You have the luxury of living in the same city as him, so you should take that opportunity to check out the shop! He has a 350z and my g35 apart right now that he's building an engine for. The 350z has a TN kit, and I have the Greddy TT.
