How many have had their Vortech blower rebuilt?

Might be picking up a used kit soon...is this imperative? What's turnaround time on it and price?

Does it need to be rebuilt? How many miles are on the blower. I dont believe its necessary to have it rebult unless there was something majorly wrong with it. And if thats the case i wouldnt get it. Time and price, not sure.

I can recall I think two people that had to have the blower rebuilt - might have been under warrenty too because I think it was fairly early right after they put the kit on.

Vortech doesn't quality check their parts before they ship them

I don't think I've heard anyone having to rebuild their blower after putting a huge amount of miles on it. I'd assume after a LOT of miles and usage, that it might need to be rebuilt but probably wouldn't be for awhile

unless something is wrong you dont need to rebuild... rebuilds are about 1500 and take a few weeks. I know ATI charge min 1500 and 3 weeks turn around

One of the reasons superchargers are not frequently used by oem is the operational life of their bearings, idlers, and vanes.

With a 70k warranty not usually possible to attain that life consistently.

Domestics with shorter warranties are more likely to tolerate the shorter life.

I have had seals go bad twice and a bad gear set once . Sentry is right , Vortech's initial quality control sucks .
