I can see how twins would be a cool setup. Twins turbos, twin intercoolers, twin BOVs, twin intakes. Not sure about pressure equalization, but should be possible. I hope they figure something out, because twins are on my future drawing board for the G37. I can see how superchargers could be a more difficult setup. Roots should be ok though cause you could keep the same intake configuration if hood clearance isn't an issue. With a snail blower though, it will need to dump into a y pipe or something.

don't know anything about possible turbo setups but I'm sure they're in the works for the Z and the 07 G sedans. There are a couple of SP kits that were unveiled at the last Tokyo Auto Salon so I don't know what Stillen's problem is. The double tb always seems more complicated to deal with and I wish the z32 came with 1 opposed to two. A turbo setup would definitely be easier to create I would think for the new motor.

I talked to the guys at Vinny Ten's shop and they tell me that a nitrous setup would be difficult as well right now...

Looks like we're staying NA for the time being.

Funny because SFR just made a twin TB twin-turbo set-up for a Z that came with one.

500whp is a recipe for a big boom. Even on the HR, I would never exceed 425-450whp, unless you have separate funds set aside for a motor build.

That's exactly what I was told by the Vinny Ten guys. The new lighter internals on the HR will probably not be able to handle that kind of power.

Then again, you could probably start swapping out parts but that's just gonna add to the cost of the whole thing.

the internals aren't that much lighter, the turbos run at 10psi, and the stock block is rated up to 600 hp, so i've been told. i mean, they ran it (the 350z)up to 476 at the wheels with no engine mods. that's more than enough for me.

and as for engine parts, pistons and rods would prob cost about $2000, so if you're spending the money on the turbos, chances are you can afford to upgrade these too. cosworth makes them, so they are quality.

Yeah you can always build the motor with better pistons, rods, etc for way more power. That is next on my to-do list.

if you can wait, brian crower will have a stroker kit for the engine sometime soon... prob push the displacement to about 4150 (4.1) no clue about hp gains though

I would assume you could use most of the parts from the existing 3.9 or 4.2 stroker kits.
