Just curious, where were you at? And was it LAPD/Sheriff/CHP? And they literally got on their hands and knees and looked underneath your ride?

More is better but those are the min.
Why have A/F and EGT at the same time? wouldn't Oil Pressure/Temp should be in there if you only have 3 gauges?

I was in Glendale. The cop was kinda a dick at first but was cool with me at the end. I guess at first he thought I was gonna be some punk kid when he pulled me over. But after we talked for a little bit, he was okay I guess. But he did look under my car. I told him that I only have HKS and intake as far as performance mods so my car was very legal. Stock cats still in place. I didn't argue or give him a hard time so he pretty much just let me go.

this is what i was told when shopping for guages:

you'd need an A/F guage for obvious reasons. Oil pressure to make sure there's no leak anywhere in your system, and an EGT guage to make sure you're not burning pistons. You wouldn't need a fuel pressure guage, b/c if you started to go lean, obviously you weren't getting any fuel, and if your oil temp increased, you have other problems besides hot oil.

again, thats what i was told, but i'm still planning on a wideband A/F, oil pressure, EGT AND the oil temp guage.

John

what about Boost gauge? Don't you want to see if your boost is dropping or worst big spike

yep just the vortech & 3.12 pulley. What other engine mod would you add with the vortech? The only thing I can think of is getting a spacer and headers. But i'm already pushing nearly 380whp so I didnt feel the need for the extra labor and costs.

Actually, no that is perfect. If I could hit 375-400hp with the exact setup that you have, I would be more than happy.

Hexx, your car called me the other night and told me it would much rather be TT'ed than SC'ed (most cars would). Just letting you know, (Just messing with you)

But, Vortech SC'ed or JWT TT'ed, its your car and I will leave it up to you.

haha!! I love the JWT TT kit Scott but if I went that route, I would want to do it right by building my block and getting the JWT clutch also. That would run me a lot more than I am looking to spend right now. Plus like Mike said above, CARB legal FTW. I still haven't made my mind up yet but it looks like I am gonna go with the Vortech.
