Greddy TT 5AT BOV = Stall?

I just found out my "compression surge" issue was due to the fact the guy who installed it disconnected my 200$ BOV because it was stalling.

I had him hooked it back up, thought because I was tuned it would fix it.

Stalled twice in 10 miles.

I was in DRIVE so that seemed like it might have had something to do with it.

But This is a really nice BOV, and sounds orgasmic, I would really like to keep it, But I wont if I keep stalling.... Do I just need to stay in tiptronic or what? I have attacted pictures of my set up just in case...

TIA

Eric

EDIT: I just called japtrix, They said that I should bring up the idle, but I've never honestly heard roger so confused!!

Is it after the maf? If so, it's discharging air the maf already counted. So the ecu gets confused and stalls.

Maybe you need an ecu tweak to whatever engine management you are using

Find somebody with a Cipher and have them bump your idle, or the dealership can too.... what injectors do you have?

can you adjust that bov so it doesn't open under low boost? My 240sx was doing the samething until I adjusted the bov, now it's fine. As mentioned above the MAF is counting for air that is being expelled before it make it to the intake causing a stall, which in my case seemed to be a problem at low speed/low boost conditions - just my guess though, I am no expert

No it's pre-MAS by those pics. Still strange that you are having that issue. Try moving the idle up to 700-800 and see how that goes.

Common problem ....your not getting enough air at idle . There is the JWT fix . Or some of us drilled a very small hole in the throttle plate .

Is that a 5AT problem. Have never heard of it on the 6MT. Not saying you are wrong or anything, just have not seen it before.

I believe alot of guys have had it with return fuel systems and bigger injectors . Instead of bumping idle and or both can solve it most the time . It could be another problem..who knows with out being there . Just giving suggestions . And I dont believe it was a AT5 problem

Drilling holes obviously scares me. And Infiniti definitely wont raise my idle, The tech was like.... I could if it was stock, but I really dont know what to do.

And then it looked like he started doing math in his head and i said never mind. I was tought never to judge people, but im pretty sure there was a reason that guy works in a garage and not in a office crunching numbers.

So I don't really know how to raise my idle (on my 04)

EDIT: I haven't stalled in tiptronic.... at all ever, but drive owns me almost everytime... WTF

if the BOV is too close to the MAF (even if it is ahead of the MAF), it will cause issues. The MAF is very sensitive to turbulence, and having the BOV really close to it could cause a stall issue......

When I unhook it, it runs perfectly very smooth. It such a rough ride with it hooked up.

Can you tell from the pictures if it needs to be moved farther down?

you need to raise the idle. it will solve it. find someone with a cipher.

could also be in the tune plus might be a vacuum leak somewhere...

Alright then, Thanks for all the info guys. I think japtrix has a cipher I'll swing by there. I doubt I have a vac leak, considering it works perfect without the BOV.

Thanks, ill let you know how it works out.

EDIT: I just called him and he says most '04 Z's dont comply with the cipher, however he hasn't really tried it with a G, So I'm going to go up there right now and give it a try.
