What gauges to get and how to mount?

Hello! I am getting an APS TT and I am curious what brand of gauges and which gauges I should purchase? Also I am wondering where to mount them, I can get an A pillar 3 gauge but i believe I need 4 gauges: Oil Temp, Water Temp, Boost, Oil pressure. Is that correct? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you.

Great, you finally decided on your kit. Where did you get it and who's going to do the install?

I have the 3 pillar gauge and only have Boost, AF(Wideband) and Oil Pressure. if you must have a 4th then i suggest get the EGT or Fuel Pressure. I thinks these are the top 3 or 4 gauge that you'll need to monitor your car. most of us settle for 3 gauges coz it is hard to find a spot for the fourth with out customization and without looking like a Christmas tree. Defi are top of the line in gauges but most people trust Innovate for their AF/Wideband.

I have Defi boost, oil pressure and egt along with the Innovate AFR gauge all on my A pillar. It looks pretty crazy. Those 4 gauges is what I have been told are the most important to have.

Well actually I cant seem to find a place that can do the install near seattle... no one has experience except this one shop, and they sure as hell dont seem to want my business... not returning any phone calls or anything.... so as of now im SOL until I can find a shop.

Is water/oil temp important?

every gauges has its purpose but do you have to have them? Hexxum001 setup is pretty good and I would say the top 4 gauges to have. Some replace the EGT with Fuel pressure coz the Wideband kind of does part of the EGT.

For me you must have at least 3 for turbo system.

1.A/F(Wideband) = You want to know if you're running lean or rich
2. Boost gauge = you want to know if your over boosting or not boosting at all
3. Oil Pressure = Oil starvation is a bad thing and can lead to engine failure. you want to know if you're loosing pressure.
4. EGT or Fuel Pressure = EGT will let you know if you are about to melt your engine and Fuel Pressure will warn you if you are not getting enough fuel.

The rest are just extra protection.

Sorry for OT but were did you put the 4th gauge? Do you have a 2 pillar and 2 on the steering wheel?
