After reading this post, I went back to the SGP post, and if you look carefully..you will see the same pattern....A person that makes a name for himself online leaves that shop and the mud slinging starts and a business gets injured
The person that leaves...opens another shop and all of a sudden that shop is the best
I use track record of a business and even speaking to previous customers before I spend my cash. Like I said...I am not defending SGP or VRT. I live in TX and my car is being built in GA!

In my original post, I should've been clear, in that I was not speaking against GTM, but recommending Relentless as another shop worth checking out. And you getting your car built in GA....good Lord that's quite a drive!

But after I saw your post...it rang a bell about the SGP Thread and how they were thrashed and now the same is happening to VRT. They both may deserve this, but its not for me to deside, I was never a customer of theirs.
My "G" is being trucked to Forged

XKR-If look closer at both threads (about SGP and VRT) there is a lot more going on there than just a disgruntled customer (SGP thread) and a disgruntled ex-employee (VRT thread). In the SGP thread, the OP was a guy who used to praise SGP and had nothing but good things to say about them. But then after multi incidents and his vehicle not being fixed as promised, things changed. It took tuners from PF and GTM to fix everything that SGP did wrong. In the VRT thread, it's an ex-mechanic coming out and letting people know how VRT operates. The only problem is that we all already knew most of this. Stories had been floating around already and he simply verified what most of us already knew. Also, in both threads, multiple people came out telling their stories/experiences of getting screwed by both shops. It simply isn't just the OP making claims, it's multiple people coming out. Bottom line is you MUST do a lot of research before deciding to take a huge step like going FI. There are a lot of good shops out there BUT there are also a lot of shady/bad shops out there too.

I have waited 3 years (2004 G)to decide who will get my money. If we were talking about $500 to $2000 bolt-ons...I would not even bother to post..but we are talking about 25K,35K +. I am also in the Porsche family, and don't let anyone fool you....these things happen over there also. A tech leaves a big name Porsche shop and then opens his own shop, all of a sudden the name calling starts, and then soon after things start to go bad at the new store and customer really get hurt in the wallet. Like I said...I agree with you .. RESEARCH and ask around before sinking money into this FI game.

I digressed a bit, but the point I wanted to make is that before planning on any engine mod, be it turbo or headers or whatever....research what you're going to do and who you're taking it to before spending your hard earned money.
Most of the shops over at my350Z and here have all made mistakes . Most of them get swept under the rug to save the shop from being hurt . My motor was redone by the shop that built it because they didnt do it right and I didnt get what I asked for . Most of these shops stretch the truth at one time or the other on thier build and dyno's .to make them selve look better and to get more buisness .
If half of what VRT's been accused of doing is true . They dont need to be in buisness . So its good that this stuff comes out about all the shops . When the shop takes care of it the right way . That shop plans on staying around and cares about the buisness they get and the people that give them that buisness

I've heard good this about GTM. They seem to be the place to go now on West coast...but wasnt VRT at one time? How long has GTM been around?
Anyways this is a good thread that summarizes all the VRT complaints....I've heard from one of the OP and other customers that suits are on the way.

. We also suply some shops with our built VQ motors. But, yes GTM is doing some good things.
I might have missed it in all the reading but does GTM have a website? I want to check out their work. I won't lie I had plans (God willing) to do some work by the end of next year at VRT. This is definitely an eye opener.
