For sure! Scott @ Relentless is a good guy too. When I was still undecided about what I was gonna do, I spoke with him many times and he answered all of my questions.

I call it the shop of the month syndrome . Remember...Track record and References ( and I dont mean References for a $500 bolt-on, I mean someone that has spent BIG CASH...15K plus)are the only way to cut through the hype and smoke. I hate to see people getting taken advantage of.

. But I was directing this post mainly to the people that are dumping loads of cash (like me) on their Z/G and getting ripped off
I PM'ed the people that had full builds with FP, VRT,PF and GTM. I needed to know how the cars were running (Leaks, Check Engine lights, proper tune and so on). Then the VRT thing started, so I removed them from the list
FP & GTM is the same in my opinion and with Sharif's knowledge and his ability to explain things (plus 100% of people on here rant and rave about him , also the STI crowd thinks he is a God
) gives him the edge. I flew out to meet Sharif in person, and even though the work has already started, he is still trying to save me money my tell me that I really don't need this or that. This is hurricane season, so I did not look further into PF.
GTM is my 2nd home. home sweet home. sam and the crew delivers, despite the large amount of cars in the shop. also, my big attention goes to the variety of cars in respective shops... just shows their experience in the building, tuning and enthusiasm.
anyway, VRT been ****in with the FX guys too. seriously, as a vq community, we all need to Violently Rape them Techs.

all shops are out there as a business. I have a lot of stories I can share but bottom line is everyones out for themselves. Not all the great places are always great. Some of the good shops being mentioned may not be as great as many think...

I know some of the best thought of shops on this forum and my350 arent that good either . They are trying and learning , but arent as good as people think
Kamal and Bill, if you have stories from what we on the board consider good shops then I would like to hear them. This is the only way we will learn in this community if all share our experiences.

wow man stories.. haha
well shops in general are great but I dont feel it is fair to pay double the amount of another shop just to have "quality" work done. I dont know about you but any performance shop that charges $100+ for their hourly rate is wow.
I felt as though a shop which I took my car to did try to take advantage of my sitution. I will not name anyone or anything just because I am not like that. I was one of the first in the US with a TT kit and since I have had a lot of problems and frustrations. I am getting the hang of the car game and to be honest, my G will be my last car that I mod. The next one I get will be an exotic already pre tricked out.
Be careful who you trust and just remember, money is money! Be careful before you sign anything and ask around for different quotes before you just settle for one shop.
