Is this a straight forward removal and installation? I was looking at the FSM and it seems easy. Infiniti sells a gasket? I would buy that because I don't feel like applying RTV silicone sealant.

I ran over a rock and it made a little dent in my oil pan.

I check that gasket auto zone and other part store. That's paper with some kind coating end up use permatex ultragrey.i tested this rvt all most cure in 2 hour. I will install this pan sunday and wait until next moring.i really don't like paper soon later maybe leak. I use synpower valvoline hope permatex rvt works good.

Could you take a picture showing how much RTV you used and where you spread it. I don't want to use too much or too little. I would hate for that to get into my oil.

Factory maual says 5mm all around and you get about 5-10min to put it and let it dry 5 hour to 24 hour before put oil.it will be ok. You must clean upper pan really clean before new oil pan installed.rvt dry in 2 hour but leave it more than 8hour minum.i try to sell my aps oil pan if you intersted let me know . $150 shipped paypal only.new and boxed.watch out ebay knock out junk.
