If i was crazy with alot of $$ i would do this kit plus a S/C kit up from of course on a built block. I bet there will be 0% lag wit that set up. and i have seen it done before. So why not go crazy and make it a hybrid..

/\ I still like my twin turbo idea (Front-Mount + Rear-Mount)=FTW Seriously, I'll go the cheaper way = Nitrous+STS just to get me out of the line faster.

When I talked to Vernon yesterday he said that I would not have to do any cutting. From the looks of your pics I will. You know if anything else had to be cut?

BTW: thanks for posting the pics.

Not sure if there is any on the bumper side but I think that is pretty much it. You may have to remove some parts coz I know I left lots of plastic parts at MRC when he was done.

EDIT:
After looking at my PIX I really need to clean my engine bay

/\ hahah true there was a lot of drama lately but they have been resolved or at least getting resolved. The kit is now out and it is on the STS website. The last time I check they were giving out the old pipings for 4995 and 5500 for the new pipings.

Here are some of the upgrade that other has tried.

1. TP + Y-pipe = So far one tester has done it and reported some good response and spool time improvement.

2. Heat Wrapping the Exhaust = One other tester did this and also reported some improvement on response and spool time.

We don't know yet how it will improve on combining both but I'm pretty sure it will help.

Winter is coming so I'll wait until Spring to start Modding again, my upgrades will be bigger Intercooler-> TP/Y-pipi -> Heat Wrap -> Water/Meth Kit.

also STS has been busy in the background on upgrade Turbo Option for us.

anyone knows what this kit does during emissions? Is there a CARB #? Does it run cleaner then a TT setup?

Turbo is Turbo and STS just happen to do it in a different way Not sure about your state but I don't think they do Emission any more on new cars (At lest in NY). If you are In Cali then no turbo will pass but STS do keep everything stock on the Exhaust side (Headers, Cat) so this will not throw any CEL.

Edit:
I found this on STS site, I'm going to ask Rick if why the 350Z is not covered here.

STS turbo systems are also one of the few turbo systems that have a CARB EO #, making them legal in all 50 states. Currently, the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO and 1997-2005 Chevrolet Corvette (including Z06 models) STS Remote Mount Turbo Systems are covered under EO# D-593

I have shot some video I just need to edit it. Don't have the money right now, but I do plan on adding Y-pipe, HFC, and headers w/ a before and after dyno. Who know when I will get this done.

hey, did you get things resolved with Vernon and Rick? How do you like the sound? I know it is really hard to capture all the sound in Video.

Yeah pretty much. Once I get my wideband hooked up I can start tweaking a few things. I may ask for your help on this when the time comes (if u don't mind).

In the beginning, I had contemplated on taking this kit off. Right now I am really enjoying this kit. The sound is amazing, get compliments all the time. I really don't have anything to compare this kit too. I've only been in one other FI'ed Z (Anti Procharger 9psi), but that was a while ago. I believe it to be comparable if not faster.
