Mysterious squeak after 3.12 pulley install

So upon startup my car squeaks a few times (not from slipping belt squeak). It runs ok at idle, then while driving the pulsating squeak sound starts occuring after 2300-2500rpms. I still can't figure out where this is coming from. I replaced the smooth idler pulley...didn't help. Replaced the actual tensioner pulley...didn't help. I'm going to check the tensioner pulley on the cog belt next.

Do you guys have any ideas?

Saw this thread over at 350Z also . Check all the pulleys you had off or replaced to see if you have spacers and washers where they should be . You didnt have it before hand and have it after a pulley install . Check what you messed with . Gotta be something you did

make sure it's not your compressor making noise. that would be bad.

I’ve had a similar problem, try flipping the smooth idler pulleys around (take of and put on back the other way) one by one. Or before flipping them try spraying a little wd40 on the bearing area of the smooth idler pulleys to isolate the problem before hand. Hope this helps.

kept re-loosening up all the idler pulleys and retightened them a few times. Finally got the squeak to go away.

Squeaks are common with most SC's. You may have this come and go for the life of the blower.
