Don't know about the new HKS S/C, but My HKS Rotrex sound very nice,
The Stillen is too laud, you can hear it coming a mile away.
I think you may be able to justify that kind of noise if you are running a
10 second 1/4 mile.

The HKS Rotrex is almost silent, with a subtle whine that's pleasant,
you may not hear it on the street without paying attention.

Pulling into Nissan service bay, being in side the room, the whine is obvious
but not obnoxious, made the Nissan mechanics drooling all over it.

The Rotrex also run it's own oil, not shared with Engine, that's a nice added safety & no need for additional engine spacer to increase oil capacity.
It's really impressive design.

One source told me some usdm g35 coupe/350z's have been test fitted with the v.2 hks supercharger, in socal, dunno if true or not.

 

What kind of numbers is this kit putting down to the wheels? That would be helpful info too. Thanks.

"Version 2 was developed in-house and we were invited to sample the HKS 350Z Supercharged on the short track at Fuji Speedway. First things first: pop the hood and peek into the engine bay. Where one might expect to find a bulky box stuffed on top of the engine block (like a Roots-type unit), there's a small contraption that looks suspiciously like a turbocharger. It is bolted to the front of the block and takes up a surprisingly small amount of space. While it shares the same 'snail' shape as a turbocharger, the belt drive gives the game away.

Inside the metal housing are gears, an internal oil pump and an impeller that supplies the 350Z's 3.5-liter V6 with gobs of compressed air. This allows the engine's output to increase to around 365hp at 5900rpm and 340lb-ft of torque at 5500rpm-at the wheels. Both figures represent a 30 percent increase over stock."

that's STEEP for the type of power they are talking about. 365hp is roughly 300whp for a G?

 

Didn't it say 365 at the wheels?

Still thats as much as a JWT TT kit....and less power.

the answer is nothing. I asked around nada. It's prolly in R&D will see it next year. If its true and there a few cars running it then will know more at SEMA. Those are most likely a near finished product. I'll let you guys know what I know
