Rods and Pistons Question

Hey i have a question im looking to turbo my car 05 6mt coupe and i want to put out more then what almost all the bolt on kits produce (420whp)... i spoke with a couple companies and they all say if i want to go past that point i need pistons and rods... so what do you guys recommened?
Pistons: Wiseco

Rods: Eagle, Carrillo, or Brian Crower

The pistons seem like the only option besides the the HKS piston and rod kit...
Or would i be better of just going with the Brian Crower Stroker kit?

Or should i be looking into a complete shortblock sold by Z1motorsort?
http://www.z1motorsports.com/350_g35...11dc5aa8fd489f

Also ill be running the JWT kit or the Turbonetics Single Kit (considering it goes for almost 6k i could get it for 4.5k) so and hoping to get around the 600whp area... i know theres couple ppl on here that are past that point so if you guys recommend a different setup or additional parts let me know such as sprigs, cams, Kinetix manifold, Aps High Capacity Oil Pan, Walboro Fuel pump, AAM spec fuel return

Thanks for the help guys... Don't mind the post count i make sure i search and research so i dont make stupid/ pointless threads

Eagle Rods, Arias ED pistons - PM sharif@forged and he'll hook you up for very reasonable rates. He can even transport your car for free now when doing engine builds. He's doing my JWT 700BB kit and built motor. I spent a lot of time researching (including two visits to his shop and purchase of several smaller items prior to commiting) and his company (forgedperformance.com) and customer service is top notch.

Feel free to PM me for any details.

I just had my car done at Forged Performance in the 550-600 hp range. If you are looking to get that kind of power and have it done right the first time
you need to call Sharif at this number 770-792-0202. If you going to do it right with the JWT 700bb, HKS FCon with all the attachments, and all the other good stuff.....you are going to spend 27K plus. If you try and cut corners and damage that motor....you are going to end up spending way over 30K in the end. Just figure out what you REALLY want to spend and Sharif/FP will help you with the rest.....Good Luck

^ don't let XKR scare you - he's a performance nut. Sharif can safely build for less (FCON for one isn't a requirement and that in and of itself carries a hefty price tag).

Good advice to give Sharif a call and discuss your goals and budget though!

Any main reason you are not a wiseco fan?

Feel free to PM me if you don't care to discuss it on here. I am installing a set in not too long so any experience you have would be helpful.

Thanks a lot guys ill defently be giving him a call... the only reason i mentioned the Turbonetics kit is because i hear good things about the utec. Also if i get it tuned say between 16-20k psi i should push around 600whp on a single turbo... does anybody have any experience with Vinny Ten Racing since there about 20 min from my house, i want to purcahse all the parts and just get everything installed thats why i was asking the question

You really need to do a lot of research before you start mentioning any price and whp #'s. You will neeeeeeevvvveeeeeerrr hit your goal of 600whp on a basic build and TN kit. don't think even Vinny can make your dream of 600whp under $20K enough said

I agree with AthenG......

I dont know much about VTR ( not to be confused with VRT) I have not heard anything negative about them. Like I said before, the only shops I know about is FP and GTM.

As AthenG said.....if you are looking to get 600rwhp for under 20K....aint going to happen unless you are the owner of one of the shops listed on MY350Z or G35Driver.
