From 500 AWHP EVO to stock 04 G35

Well this is my first post on g35driver and Im going to get right to business.

I own a 03 Evolution 8 with over 500 AWHP...I love my car but its time to get something a little bit classier hah. I ran an 11.7 @ 119 and I realize this is probably not capable in a G35 without over $30k invested(or so ive read) but im looking to get close to there as cheap as possible.

Id be willing to spend around 6-12k building up the car. So I was thinking what do I need to make around 400-450 AWHP just to have a fun car to drive around?

I was thinking the GREDDY TT bolt on kit and just supporting bolt-ons a custom tune with UTEC(is UTEC good for the G?)...

Ok well pretty much I know little to nothing about the G35 other then I think its a gorgeous car and is going to be alot more luxurious then my evo haha.

So can anyone please, let me know what I should do to get in the 400-500 AWHP range spending as little as possible and achieving my desired results!

Heres a few pics of my baby which will be sold within the next week

if 12k cant get you 400 hp then Im probably going to look for a different car....I was under the impression running a GREDDY TT on lo boost with stock block is fine and will yield in or at least close to the 400 whp range...

the kit is around 4500$ + supporting mods maybe another 3000$ and tuning/ecu for another 2000$? I can do the installations myself since everything is bolt-on.

maybe im wrong?

u can go that route the tt kit is around 5k and supporting mods about 2K if u cna do the install ur self that will be the biggest savings but u need to pull the motor. there are a couple threads that people have done this

Depending on how much diy you'd be willing to do and how much shopping around you do, you could even do a basic build with that much money.... that is of course how much of a diy'er you are.

You could have 400whp + some little toys, if you don't want to do it yourself well within your budget if you make a trip up orlando at PF. Most other places charge too much.

AWD with 500whp and you only got 11.7, trap looks ok though?

Anyway first you need to go here http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=270261, you can get a Greddy TT complete for around $6800 w/ Utec. FYI, stock VQ engine is good for 400whp; above that then you risk your car blowing it. So here's the second step, since you still have extra money coz you are doing the install then go here http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=239093 and see what Engine package you want. When you're done you have 500+ whp monsters.

Search alot in the my350Z & G35driver and you will learn alot.

In a few years, I'm planning on getting a Vortech SC on the stock block making roughtly about a little over 400whp. I'm willing to spend up to 8k for everything; if you decide to build the engine, depending on how much you build it, you can easily spend over 15k on that.

For 500 RWHP, I think you better build the engine, especially on a TT.

Goodluck!

All I can say is go here http://www.my350z.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=182 or try the search button coz you'll find tons of info. TN (Turbonetics Single Turbo) does come with an FMIC (Spearco FMIC), pretty much all Turbo kit for 350Z/G35 comes with a FMIC. Greddy is a Twin Turbo and TN only sell Single Turbo, TT has more Power Potential but if you're only goal is mid 400's then a Single Turbo will be suffice. Like I said it is not the kit coz pretty much all Turbo Kit will give you 400+ whp but it is our engine that breaks after 400whp/TQ (at least greater chance of blowing the motor).

well I want to leave the motor itself stock so I guess I will be going with a single turbo...Ill have no problem with 375 - 400 whp as long as it is going to be safe

as far as supporting mods what should I get?

exhaust(what size, make)
intake plenum etc??

with a 6-12 budget you can make 400 whp easy with a Vortech setup w/ right tune and supporting mods to go with it...
