While I commend your improvising skills for a temporary fix, I still have to ask this question... why did you install the SC if you still did not have a hood available. Perhaps it would have been better to wait until EVERYTHING arrived at the shop.
In any case, make a trip out to Rice Boys and get yourself a fake hood scoop that all those cool (not) kids are doing with their Focus.

I'm glad I did install it, because by the time my new hood will be delivered and painted, it will be winter time...
Short Answer: Zero Patients!
So yes, it's ugly. But the joy it brings me is worth the temporary and short-term inconvenience.
