Twin Inlet Intercooler, Greddy TT?
Hey guys. Just tryin to finish up all my resarch and what not so I can gather stuff for my turbo build. I'm going with the nismo front bumper on my car for the setup, I like it cause it is close to factory, sorta stealth like. I know they make the twin inlet intercoolers for the JWT turbo setup, .....i'm going with the greddy twin turbos. I keep hearing they decrease the air flow and you somewhat lose power from the all the extra pipin and what not and then I hear it doesn't. Just tryin to get a final word on the twin inlet and some feedback for people who have them would greatly be appreciated. tryin to see what is the best way to go with the nismo front bumper.

call Speed Force Racing...they will sell you their dual inlet fmic...all you'll need to do is fab some piping to fit it to the greddy kit
and you're not going to lose power...his built engine has nothing to do with anything...you might lose 1psi, but who cares? just turn up the boost a little...

Not knocking the JWT set up since I have 1, but the Z intercooler set up and the G intercooler set up using the Y pipe are not the most ideal configurations. Coming in from both sides I think the APS set up is the more ideal configuration.

The Greddy intercooler configuration is ideal for it's piping. Biggest upside of the JWT is no need to lose your bumper brace and the G set up is pretty much designed around the stock G bumper openings.

The JWT design is more symmetric. If you look at the APS, the air from one turbo is going to get cooled much more than air from the other, which has a much shorter path to the intake piping. Vertical flow might be slightly better to reduce pressure loss but I don't know that it's any better at reducing intake temps; particularly the way that APS IC ducting is designed.
The key design win with the JWT is that they sized the ICs to fit the openings of the stock bumpers. Maximum airflow over the IC is critical to reduce temps maximally. A central IC obscured by a stock (or Nismo) bumper may be worse than you think because a portion of the hot air is never cooled by air-air exchange at all.
Get a bumper to match the IC dimensions or visa versa.

I will add that at least the APS vertical flow design has some air from both turbos always undergoing air-air heat exchange. Now consider the horizontal Greddy, where the top 1/3 is blocked by the bumper. All that hot air is going to go across and go right into the intake. It will mix with air from the lower half but that's a poor design I would think.
im still partial to the greddy design, it is a much larger core than the others listed here, APS JWT..
